I've had countless meals that I would qualify as best which no one on here could probably afford.

Worst meal? I was at some conference and we had filet mignon, slightly overcooked in my opinion.

sorry Sleeper but the price tag of dinning does not alway raise the standard of the cuisine. I've eaten at some of the most highly rate restaurants in the world but not always satisfied with the preparation and flavor. My best experiences in dinning have come from those establishments where the locate fresh ingredients and soul of the chef created a great dinning adventure.

I can tell from your comments that you are clueless of fine dinning, which would lead me to assume you don't eat out much...... Poor people eat filet mignon when dinning out because they can't afford it always....and they think it makes them look wealthy

Worst? I wouldn't say meal, but the worst thing I can recall eating was durian. SO FUCKING GROSS.

I will echo the statements of Belly (first time ever). "Fine dinining" + a high price doesn't always equate to the best.

I'm more into lesser known, but amazing restaurants or food spots. Food trucks also kick ass.

If you're ever in Chicago grab some food at Big & Little's. It's fucking phenomenal and cheap.

Best-Mom and pop, middle of nowhere restaurant near Novi Ligure, Italy. The place had 2 employees, grandma and mom. Every time we went there we were the only customers. They made all of their pasta noodles from scratch and kneaded everything by hand, no machines. Their gnocchi dumpling noodle dish were out of this world. I wouldn't have a clue as to the name of the place or even how/where it is since I never drove (rode with co-workers).

Worst-India, nearly anything there

Here in the US I would say the best was a mom/pop Italian place in Mandan, ND. The husband was Italian, the wife was Mexican, and every dish was Italian, but they all had a "spicy" option where the dish was made with different Mexican peppers/spices to make it hot. The fettuccini alfredo, made spicy, was REALLY good. There were so many spices in it that the alfredo sauce ended up red instead of white. It was really good.

Best: Au Cheval Burger at Au Cheval. Unbelievable burger. Such basic ingredients, but so much flavor

Worst: Curry. My ex's mother would make it, and I hated it. I do not like curry at all.
