Even last night, they gave the Cavs 2 points on 2 possessions. Thats 50% shooting in a game they went 32%. So retarded by Kerr. It did allow for a 5-2 run (8-2 if you count the 3 BEFORE the hacks), but that is due in large part to JR being retarded. In general, if your the Cavs, you have to love that. GS is a team who wants to get up and down and score easier buckets. Even off a missed FT, you will have your defense set up.

I have been saying all along you need a guy who shoots about 20% for the Hack-a-Whoever to actually work. Otherwise, as Sleeper said, its a losing strategy that has very little chance at succeeding.
I don't think fouling Tristan was a good percentage play either. But what you fail to factor in is that the game gets extended. No time off the clock is a huge plus and was part of the reason an 11 point lead evaporated in 3 minutes. Thompson hit 64% this season and needs not to choke like he did.

On LeBron's hack job. Seriously the ref that was standing right there...number 25...should be banned from ever officiating another game. Out of 50 or so refs, that's one of the top 3 in the league? If I was LeBron I would have slugged the fucker in the face. Kudos to him for maintaining his composure.

And...so sick and tired of pump fakes and then diving into the defender the way Curry does to get fouls. They need to change the rule. If you pump fake and dive into the defender, then you should get a 3 game suspension.. to me it's a lot worse that flopping.

Cleveland favored by 1 point. Expect the Cavs to be up 3-1 heading back to Oracle Arena for Game 5.
Odds have changed GS is 1.5 point favorite tomorrow and 2.4 to 1 to win it all.

I agree with this. It's a bad rule. Now if you pump fake and the guy lunges at you, and you go straight up and he hits you then its a foul. But if at any point you as the offensive player pump fake and then jump into a defender going straight up, its an offensive foul.

Also, let's be honest, if they made this rule change, Harden would be regulated to the D-league over night. He would foul out in 3 minutes in a regular game.

Just as bad is grabbing the defender on purpose away from the ball( Curry on Thompson)...you shouldn't get an advantage in any shape or form for a play like that. I don't know how the "powers that be" look at that and don't make a change. Meanwhile guys get away with hacks because it's "incidental contact".

SB Nation compiled some nice video showing the unchampionship-like officiating....

While the lead was evaporated, I disagree it had anything to do with fouling. Curry hit a 3 in LeBrons eye, Thompson his a deep three and Curry made 2 FTs after JR went full-retard.

It wouldve happened either way. The reality is, the GSW gave the Cavs 2 points in a game they likely wouldnt have gotten any...

Houston tried it, and got annihilated, stopped and won the series...

Teams tried it with Shaq...he got 3 Titles. The numbers dont lie, it doesnt work and is a HORRIBLE basketball play, even if the shooter only makes 40% of them

Like I said....I agree with you that as a percentage play, it's not wise to foul a 64% free throw shooter. But I disagree with you in saying that it didn't work last night. It did work. TT only made 2 free throws but more importantly they bought 48 seconds and they tied it with 7 seconds to go.

I agree, should be a charge if you jump into the straight up and down defender.

Definitely still a lot of Cavs doubters. Saw an article that said "Lebron was outstanding, Steph played poorly, and the Cavs still barely won." It's not going to be easy but somehow I'm still saying they are going to get this done.

I've been seeing this narrative from the national media a lot. Apparently they're forgetting that the Cavs only shot 32%, JR Smith has gone full retard in 2 games, and TT scored like 4 points. Our role guys haven't even gotten going and it's still tied.

Typical national lack of respect for C-Town. That's ok. Seems to be giving them a little bit of extra added motivation. Need this one tonight though.

Cowherd driving me insane this morning.

"Warriors comfortably by 6-8 tonight"
"Don't judge the NBA finals by the first two games!!" (No shit..no one is, Colin)
"Lebron was out there with dellavadova, Tristan Thompson, iman shumpert, and James jones..you think that lineup is winning a title?" They're here aren't they, Colin? They're in the fucking finals. If you said that at the beginning of the playoffs okay, yeah. But we are three wins away from a title. Derp.

The second quote brings the lulz, because if the cavs were down 0-2, you know damn well he would be talking about a sweep.
