Pirates have it now with the first 4-5-4 triple play in history.

And they actually beat the Cards. That might have been even more impressive, considering they have a monopoly on creative ways to lose games this year.

The SS just as easily could have taken the throw back to 2nd. I wonder if it would have gone that way if it would have likewise been the first 4-5-6 triple play in history?

The difficulty was nothing though

Simmons play at SS no one else could finish....Gordon's willingness to dive full into the stands probably stands alone, though others probably could've done it but not willing to mentally....and Arenado's play going deep behind to the foul line wall and going in might be my top highlight play of the year.

Baltimore is indeed a shithole, but Camden Yards was awesome. First time going last night.

@darrenrovell: Pillbox hats that hit social media last night, while cool, are NOT the hats players will wear in MLB All Star Game http://t.co/oldJd9aVjZ

Fuck you, Darren.

Betances and Andrew Miller up to almost 40 combined innings pitched without giving up an earned run.

Not jealous because my team has/had Kevin Gregg and Burke Badenhop in that same time and only given up 26 runs in 23 innings, mostly in the 8th inning

Definitely no reason to be jealous.

I'm curious to check out Maikel Franco from the Phillies. I picked him up in my dynasty fantasy league about a month ago because I realized I wasn't utilizing my minor league slot (Rodon had just been called up) and the good ones (Correa, Gallo, Syndergaard) had been taken. I starting researching more about Franco and it seems that for a power hitter he's got more of a well-rounded swing/approach than I initially thought.

Not surprised but the Marlins fired manager Mike Redmond today after another loss.

Marlins fired their manager and named their GM, who has never managed or played as the new manager. Bizarre.
