If you like Pollack food or Church's Fried Chicken you go to Cleveburgh. You like diner food that has a home style Kentucky feel to it you go Cinci. You like sophisticated cuisines from many different cultures you go to CBus. Although Ohio's best restaurant is in Waldo.

I'm on board with Justin about the food. I think some of the great restaurants around here haven't been around a long time so I'm guessing that's what hurts Cincinnatis food rep. There are plenty of great options downtown, in OTR, by Rookwood/Hyde Park, and up in Kenwood and beyond. There's basically nothing west of 75 though except Skyline, LaRosas, diners, and big chain restaurants. The westsiders keep things simple.

re: food. Columbus and Cinci not on this list. I saw one with Columbus on it, and they were ranked lower. I saw zero lists with Cinci on it.

I can't take any foodie list seriously that has Atlanta in the top 5 and New York at #10. NYC easily has the best options over any city in this country, and it is not even close.

Agreed. Our food scene is great, but it is relatively young.

Columbus is fine as long as you don't have to talk to the assholes

Actually Detroit ranks ahead of all 3 Ohio cities as far as foodie scenes go:RpS_flapper: But as someone in their early 20s I can personally tell you many of my friends want to move to Columbus and some already have, lol I'm going to have zero friends left in Toledo by the end of the decade at this rate. Columbus just has a great feel about it, and as a sports fan you have the NHL, MLS and of course Ohio State athletics which I believe offers a better sports scene than any other city in the state, especially since for the under 30 crowd baseball is almost nonexistent

No it's just I have nothing else planned. one thing I do love about Toledo is the cost of living is so unbelievably cheap and there is essentially no traffic. I currently rent a 2 bedroom house at 1500 sq ft with yard and a garage for 750 a month. So divide that by 2 and that's not even half a weeks pay. Plus it's pretty easy to visit family up in Detroit from here as well

I like Columbus and Cleveland a LOT more than Cincy, but I still rate columbus a bit higher than Cleveland. There's too much depression in the surrounding areas in Cleveland, it's kinda sad.

Cle has better sports team and equally good food. However, I love having all of OSU's sports right next door, as well. I could live in either place. My GF lives downtown in CLE and myself in Cbus.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by this? If you're just talking east cleveland, then I'm not sure how that is different than any other city, as they all have their bad parts. Even East side has nice/cool areas though (university circle, little italy, coventry).

East and West Cleveland. Maybe it's riding the RTA that makes me think that, but Cleveland seems to have much worse areas than columbus. Nothing in Columbus is as broken down as some of the areas I drive by in Cleveland. Even downtown Cleveland (while it has really nice parts) has lots of areas that look like a ghost town. Whenever I visit sam we always drive under a bridge (not sure what the area is called) that literally looks like a scooby do ghost town. Then we drive through an area of the city which looks like shit and then boom were at some nice restaurants (I think it was called parralax). For me, it's not very ascetically pleasing and looks like it would be a bad neighborhood.

Still love CLE though. Grew up going to Highland Heights like 4-5 times a year, and love it. I just prefer Columbus a little bit more.

I'm not an Ohio State fan but I would pick Columbus over the others. Though frankly to me Columbus seems like a war zone compared to San Diego. Everyday seems like a murder in east columbus. You would think a border town of 3 million plus would have more crime.

Fair points. I am downtown nearly every day, but I can't really relate to your point of parts of downtown looking like a ghost town. Maybe you are talking about the Cleveland St and surrounding areas/more East, which I'm sure not sure I'd consider downtown. Parallax is in Tremont. I guess it would depend on where you are coming from, but I can't really think of anywhere shitty you'd drive by, even though it may not be aesthetically pleasing.

I was driving from University Circle to downtown today and I thought to myself "why don't they tear some of this shit down". Is it necessary to drive past bad parts of Columbus like it is in Cleveland? Now that I think of it, I don't even know where the bad parts of Columbus are. I usually stick to University/downtown area when I go there. Maybe that has something to do with perception. Just thinking out loud.
