I have talked with Waynedale administration including middle school and high school oops even the administrative office and they are all in agreement what needs to change! Sorry you are late to the game. Without getting too personal on here there is lots of reasons the real fans are upset it isn't about the coach being a great guy cause he is. A great help to the community he is. His in laws are amazing people. He is 101 % a bad coach not because of his knowledge of the game but because of the way he cannot relate to the kids. He is not a team player their opinion does not matter. I won't say anymore you can cry about my comments or whatever you want to do. I am a true fan I love Waynedale sports through thick and thin I will be sitting in the stands cheering on every team not just one sport or one coach. Regardless as to whether the coach is here or not ( most likely not) I will still be in the stands cheering. If you were a true fan you would know the frustration. Good luck to Chipps and Smithies I will be at those games too. Too bad I am a pretend fan right!

Once playoff time rolls around, that's when you cheer for those who represent you. If they're in your league, they represent the level of play that takes place in your league. If they're from your area, they represent the level of play that takes place in your area.

Reminds me of Norwayne's 2011 championship. There were a lot of us from the area that met before that game to tailgate and cheer on Norwayne. The Falcons faithful even brought the bell to ring for the Bobcats.

These kinds of comments remind me of why I'm proud of where I grew up. Though I no longer live in a place that resembles Wayne County in any way, I admit that I say it with pride when people here in Akron ask where I'm from.

I know 5-5 doesn't mean a whole lot to most, but when you consider 1-2 wins a year over the past decade, it's a major step forward. I agree. I would even say the same should be said for Chippewa! Despite their last couple years, their last decade has been pretty bleak. Instead, however, they're playing in Week 12 as one of just 16 teams left in the division doing so. The program seems to be out of its funk as demonstrated by the recent years.

You took a pic of it....OH NO...what will I ever do?...come on junior, you need more that that...this isn't junior high. In the post I talked about how the surrounding groups have not won at any level, at any time. In fact dude, this year is probably the first year that the underclassmen have EVER had a winning record in football...again not knocking them at all just stating a FACT. I bet if you ask those kids they would tell you that this year was the most fun they ever had playing football. Hmmmmm...but yet we have a coach who can't relate and doesn't care about their opinions. Interesting.....TOO EASY!

I've been reading up and talking to friends that live in the Waynedale district, will the coach stay as the head man? I've been told that from a talent standpoint, the Bears won't have the amount of horses needed to be successful for a long time if trends stay the same. Very low youth numbers. A couple kids in the junior and sophomore classes. Hardly any wins by the freshman and incoming freshman class. Doesn't sound like much fun to be a Bear in the next few years.

Curious if any of our Norwayne faithful are still on here regularly. I assume most went to see the game last week, given that it was "home." What can Chippewa expect from Rossford? What did they do on offense? Given the number of points Norwayne scored, it certainly seems like their defense can be scored on, but that was the second-most points scored against them (behind Waynedale's 41), so it seems like they have something working for them on offense. Curious what it is.

Also, what's the line play like? Big and tough up front? Small and fast? Physical? Do they rely heavily on the line for their offense and/or defense?

Have not heard much about the Rossford team either, but i know a little bit about Cuyahoga Heights team! they are big and physical up front they have 2 linemen that are 300 lbs, the Redskins love to run the ball! Very sound fundamental football but the can air it out too. They run a very similar defense to Hillsdale a 4-3 that at times turns into a 5-2. I watched them play on STO a couple weeks back and they gave Kirtland all they could handle! Cuyahoga heights scored late in the game and went for the two point conversion and failed. Kirtland won 28-26. The Redskins run an option offense and very good at it. That is my limited knowledge!! lol The Smithies will have their hands full on Saturday night!

It does seem the cupboard may be a little bare in Apple Creek...which makes this season even more disappointing. In my opinion this team underachieved big time, at thats on the man in charge. Reminder...the Bears had enough talent to put the running clock on two teams that are still playing, and enough talent to put up 38 points and nearly 450 yds. of offense on the league champs in one half. That kind of talent should never lose by 3 scores to a team like Northwestern. (nothing against the Huskies, they are a good young team) But the Bears should of handled them easily. I just believe a lot of other high school coaches could have managed to do better than 7-4 if handed that team. Again...just my opinion.

Toledo Sports Network 91815 Rossford at Lake - YouTube ... This is the Lake v Rossford Game ... from about week 5 ... It appears to me that if the Chipps can control the line (duh) and contain both #20 the RB & Backup QB and #6 the QB they can definitely beat this team ... The win Rossford had against the Cats was their FIRST WIN in PLAYOFFS EVER ... The chatter in Toledo is all about Chipps QB ... It appears to me that Rossford is a big play offense but are not afraid to slug it out in the trenches after watching this game ... they lost it in the 2nd half against Lake with turnovers... And we know the Chipps like to defend the passing game ...

Actually, in this game I think you can throw that out the window because even though Rossford beat Norwayne, the league WCAL champs, Chippewa did the same thing in beating the undefeated Lake team the Northern Buckeye champs. The #2 teams in each league now face off....should be a good game!

The way to beat Chippewa is a big power running game. Look at their losses, and the damage the Lake back did last week. In watching the YouTube clip, it appears Rossford is on the smaller side, and likes to get 20 in space. This should benefit the Chipp defense. Rossford likes to throw the ball from a spread look which again is to the benefit of Chippewa. When it's all said and done; it comes down to which Chipp team shows up, and they play for 4 quarters. Not saying they will beat Rossford, but you have to think not having to face a big line and Miller again should benefit them mentally. The WCAL was all about matchups this year. Norwayne was a bad matchup for Chippewa. However, I think Rossford is more to their liking.

Love responding with "old reliable"...at least YOU understand that it is an opinion, an opinion on a high school football forum with the subject being small school high school football in Ohio...I hope some of you can really come to grips with that...oops, sorry...one of you has multiple state champ rings, 2 college letters (for who knows what, at who knows where), and 12 (I repeat 12) years of coaching experience (at who knows what level, in who knows what sport).
