Horrific play down the stretch for both teams. Fitting that it ended with a complete trash put back.

Lol. If I were an N.C. State fan, I'd be absolutely pissed that they pulled this game out. That probably means at least another year of Mark Gottfried in charge. This is not a win for the program.

I picked Eastern Washington, but John Thompson III is proving me wrong thus far. Georgetown up by one with three minutes left in the half.

If Eastern Washington wins and Georgetown loses to a double digit seed for the sixth time in as many tournament visits, does JTIII finally lose his job or does he keep it because his Dad is coming off the heels of national title 31 years ago?

Who else would Georgetown get? The problem with JTIII is his style is antiquated and just simply doesn't get it done. They always produce more talent than their team results show. Gotta be a reflection of the system.

Only one showing up thus far. Portis and Madden suck.

JTIII isn't going to change his system at this stage of his career. If he had any intentions of doing so, it would have happened by now. So, the question remains, does Georgetown continue to hang on to a coach who, in the last eight years, has lost to six double digit seeds in the NCAA Tournament and in two other seasons fell in the NIT.

Maybe Georgetown just isn't that proud. Maybe they are content with merely staying afloat in a sea of mediocrity.

Well, I lost an elite eight team in Iowa State, but still have the other 7. But I lost just about every team I picked all of them to beat to get there.

Damn. Wofford had 2 super open looks to tie it. Usually those go down in March.

They burned 20 seconds off not doing anything.

Can't really argue. Down 3, shot clock basically off. Their strategy was right, IMO. They didn't but their timeout, didn't try anything too cute. That's how they hung in the game. Just didn't make the shots.

Looks like no magic from Eastern Washington. Their coach did an awful job in the first half... let it completely get away and did nothing to stop the run. Now it looks like they've just quit.

Anyone have a good day with their brackets? I don't think I've ever done this poorly. 8/16 or something like that.
