I'm not sure what the latest news is regarding Collins and Tennessee, but I don't see them paying him 6 million to be a back up to Young. I think they wanted to restructure the contract, but who knows if Collins will do that.BCBulldog wrote: I'm gonna throw a name out there that I think may be a decent stop-gap for a season or two at QB - Kerry Collins. I know he looked awful in Tennessee last season, but something funny was going on down there. Fisher still believed in him even after the 0-6 start and said QB play was not the problem, but Bud Adams forced the change. I don't really know if he is the right fit, but he would probably come cheap. What do you guys think?
If the Browns could get him fairly cheap I wouldn't be opposed to having him be the stop gap for a year or two, if he can still make the throws. As far as whatever mobility he had that is pretty much gone.

WKYC just said that Holmgren feels that the only way to win is with a veteran QB. Quinn is being shopped, DA expects to be released.

So is there no chance at all that the Browns would go after McNabb? If so what would the price be? If they would somehow get him, and I guess the MockDraft players of Eric Berry, Jahvad Best, and Eric Decker/Jordan Shipley...wouldn't that be a great start to the season? Chances are...probably won't happen but nice to think about

If they were a team that was on the cusp...I would love to have McNabb...kinda like Minny from last year. If they were a year away from being a contender, then you take a shot with a proven aging vet like him. This is all assuming that there is quite a price tag to get him....which maybe there isnt.

There are a lot of phones burning around league. Some free agency. Some trades. Browns very aggressive

Radio station in St Louis is saying Marc Bulger will be dealt to a team tomorrow for a 6th rounder

I don't want Bulger but for a 6th round pick you can't complain too much!

I think he may be our QB. We have two 6th rounders.buckeyes_woowee wrote: I don't want Bulger but for a 6th round pick you can't complain too much!

I'm not sure how I'd feel about going into the season with Bulger

^^^ I would much rather give up a 6th for him than giving up a 1st for McNabb. He's an obvious stop gap for 1-2 years while the QB we draft (hopefully Lefevour?) gets ready.

This would lead you to believe that St Louis will take Sam Bradford #1 if they are going to deal Bulger.

^^^^ I agree but I don't think Bulger is much better then what we have

What Bulger would be is a stop gap for whoever they take in the draft this year.

I think they will dump both QB's (Quinn & DA) to give them a fresh start.

DA may get dumped, although I think he's a hell of a fit for Arizona. Quinn MAY have some trade value and I say that very loosely.BR1986FB wrote: I think they will dump both QB's (Quinn & DA) to give them a fresh start.

I think they trade down a few spots and take Clausen.Eric Taylor wrote: This would lead you to believe that St Louis will take Sam Bradford #1 if they are going to deal Bulger.

By dumped I meant at least one by trade. It would be great if we could get something for both.miller45452003 wrote:DA may get dumped, although I think he's a hell of a fit for Arizona.
