Yes!! Things in season 3 are finally picking up. The first two seasons were good and well written and acted but things were progressing very slowly but season 3 is really picking up steam.

It's FINALLY getting interesting. While it's critically acclaimed, I'd call it slow and indulgent (as far as the writers/writing). I don't need a lot of action or drama or mindless fun to enjoy a show, but it's hard for me to imagine them getting a 3rd season if not for the loyalty of Breaking Bad fans (and the media).
Far more important to have watched Breaking Bad for background...you could really pick this up at the start of Season 3 and not have missed much.

We are just catching up on this season, and I am loving it. We watched Chicanery last night and I thought it was really good.
