OSU will have no top 15 wins on their resume (Michigan will tumble in the new poll), where do people keep getting the idea that they belong in the playoff?

Alabama losing to Florida would be the loss of choice for OSU

Clemson/UNC in Charlotte should be great. I remember a few years ago they talked on ESPN in a terrible ACC matchup there were like $5 tickets on StubHub for the title

Does Stanford have a better resume than Northwestern.....who best Stanford 16-6 and also only has 2 losses to a top 4 team and a top 15 team?

Stanford has 2 losses. I doubt they would put them in over OSU.

I'm not that optimistic we will get in. I don't really think we deserve it and I still think you need to win your conference championship to be a candidate.

I think the committee puts UNC in because they would be a conference champ with only 1 loss. I think Bama losing is our best chance but we all know Bama is going to crush Florida.

You hit the nail on the head. A 1 loss North Carolina has a much better case than a 1 loss Buckeye team as beating Clemson is a better win than anything the Buckeyes would have. Both played horrendous schedules, so you look to who had the best win.

UNC is ranked 14th. And has played two FCS teams. Two.

They aren't even playoff relevant IMO.

I didn't realize they played two FCS schools. Yeah, maybe OSU will get in then.

The reality is, the Buckeyes are without a doubt one of the best 4 teams in the country.

I mean there's a reason why they're 14th. The committee clearly has issues with their schedule and have no plans to put them in the final four.

I think OSU and Stanford are definitely the teams at 6 and 7 but with a decent gap. UNC to me is the definite at #10 with FSU/ND being 8-9....if committee moves UNC to 8 then I'll be a bit worried about them jumping OSU with a Clemson win. But committee has shown little liking for the ACC and a good bit for the B1G

I really don't think it has anything to do with the ACC when it comes to North Carolina. They've played two FCS schools and their OOC game was Illinois. Conference wins over Georgia tech, Pitt, and Miami just aren't going to cut it. Especially when you have a loss and that loss was to a very bad South Carolina team.

GT is usually a good good win...but GT is terrible this year. Miami is not a good win and it usually is....even Duke is not as good as they have been. VT with their worst team in nearly 30 years. You may be right but ACC is down and not good.

Has nothing to do with hate, but everything to do with fairness.

OSU will have not even played in a conference championship game as well as having no top 15 wins. To have them in the national title playoff would be an embarrassment to the system and the biggest show of favoritism in the history of college football.

Why have a playoff system if there is no need to achieve anything in order to get into it? Letting in the Buckeyes would just encourage other schools to play creampuff schedules and avoid scheduling anyone capable of beating them.

That trend has to stop, and they need to make an example of OSU over it instead of rewarding them.

Chill out dude. If there are only 4 one loss teams or Iowa/OSU then why shouldn't they? Good god they just beat the #10 team on the road by 29. You do know that one year two teams from the same division played for a title right?

The committee actually had their job done for them yesterday.

Clemson wins vs UNC, they are in
Alabama wins vs Florida, they are in
Oklahoma won, they are in
Michigan State/Iowa winner, they are in

The only team with a legit outside shot, is Ohio State, and they would likely be in with a Clemson loss and definitely in with an Alabama loss.

There are really no other variables to consider here.

Mark May just said if OSU got in he'd get an OSU tattoo on his shoulder. Said Stanford is the next team in.
