Minny is dumb
Really was a poor decision by the coach. Also they had 1st and goal with 19 seconds and 1 timeout and they only get 2 plays off(one that ran out the clock with 2 seconds left). With 19 seconds, you can realistically get off 3 plays and have a 4th with the clock running out.

Regardless of one illegal block, that should never happen

There was also a player down before he lateraled the ball, and there was also a dumbass who ran onto the field from the sideline a good 10 yards before the guy scored. Just horrible officiating.

So, I assume its only NFL where a lateral that hits the ground is dead? That, or the officials REALLY messed up...

Ball is always live on laterals...just forward passes that can't hit the ground.

I swear in the NFL when they try that shit, and it hits the ground, the refs blow the whistle for game over.

What did Duke do wrong? Miami obviously has put good time into that and Duke was playing it well as they had them back 30 yards and near goal line.....had the block in back not occurred he would've been tackled at 16 or uncontrolled lateral due to pressure

Beamer Ball officially coming to an end...

@mikejurecki: Source: #VirginiaTech Frank Beamer has told his staff that he's retiring after the season, scheduled to meet with the team this afternoon.

A backwards pass, or lateral is a live ball.

The replay official should be fired. If you can't determine that that dude's knee was down, you aren't qualified for the job.

I'd call that fair but the 2,500 Duke football fans probably don't think that is nearly enough

Might be a loss in the books...doesn't stop playoff committee from treating it as a win from a ranking standpoint.
