LOL...I see more Asians in the Mercs than I see in the Hondas. Between the two, I'd go Ford. I've driven both semi-regularly (rentals) and I've always admired the Ford. It felt more solid. The Civic was cool, but it was rather drab. Honda has really mailed it in in Civic design department over the last couple of years, so maybe that has contributed to my dislike of the Civic as well. My only gripe with the Ford are the seats. They're definitely set up for a more sporty feel. Which is fine if you're a slimmer individual. But they could become uncomfortable for someone of a larger size.

I picked myself a Nissan Rogue and I love it. Haven't driven in the snow yet, so we'll see about the AWD.

Was it the new Rogue? The wife likes those, but we haven't had an opportunity to test drive one.

Love the look of the rogue but they are way too small for me.
