My thread needed a bump because it should be required reading for any Browns fan in case they are wondering how we ended up where we are.
I've seen right through that Goldberg look-a-like asshole from the second he showed up spewing his bullshit, and his eventual firing will finally allow for a rebirth of this organization.
Having to watch him prove in week in and week out that he is who we knew he was has been one of the most frustrating experiences I can remember in my decades of being a Browns fan.
Sad part is if he had even 10% of the coaching ability in reality he has in his mind we'd be on our way to a second Super Bowl under his leadership.

You can say this about pretty much every coach they've had since the return. Apparently you've forgotten the "Pat Shurmur Era." The only decent coach was Butch Davis and even he imploded in the end.IggyPride00;1767161 wrote:My thread needed a bump because it should be required reading for any Browns fan in case they are wondering how we ended up where we are.

I actually think Mangini could have been successful had we had a strong GM/personnel type here to save him from himself.BR1986FB;1767164 wrote:You can say this about pretty much every coach they've had since the return. Just like with Butch, when he started wedging into personnel it was over. As a coach though we at least played organized, disciplined football and were ready to play. The team just had no talent because he was bringing in the veteran retreads he loved.

I agree 100% with both comments. I think Mangini is a brilliant football mind but is terrible at personnel evaluation. He came from that Belichick "we can win with any guy" mentality but the "any guys" that he brought in (Robiskie/MoMass/Veikune) were turds.IggyPride00;1767176 wrote:I actually think Mangini could have been successful had we had a strong GM/personnel type here to save him from himself.

Same with Butch. Trades up 1 spot, giving up another high pick, to draft the "Soulja" when he would've fallen to him anyway.
I think both could've been exceptional here had they kept their fingers out of the personnel "pie."

How does it feel Clowners to have your game in Columbus receive less of a TV audience than a fucking soccer game?

Well seeing as Cleveland and cinci aren't in Columbus, the Browns suck, and the city of Columbus hosted the MLS championship game, I would say it's pretty much about right. It's SOCCER - at one time the Clowns owned Cbus - but not anymore Sparky. Worst franchise in all of pro sports worldwide.
