Kinda of the plan but with flexablity

Christmas Eve: Evening Church and back to my house for appetizers (everyone bring something)

Christmas Morning: 10:00ish Family Traditional Christmas Breakfast (I prepare)
Menu: Tradition Christmas Casserole, Hot Sticky Buns, Bacon and Ham, Croissants, Quiche, Orange Juice, Coffee
Open Presents: sometime around 11:30 or 12:00 it begins when it ends who knows
I start to prepare Christmas dinner;
Menu: Rotisserie Ham (molasses), Grandma Chicken Noodle Soup (tradition), Cheese Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, Pickle Tray, Beets and Eggs, Veg. Tray, Croissants, Wine
Dinner: 5:30 or 6:00
Cleanup
Everyone start packaging up around 8:00
Wife and I …. die on the couch around 10:00 convincing each other we can’t do this anyone

Next day: Dinner at my home … leftover and more appetizers

What your schedule running around plans?

Noon: Go to her parents to open gifts.
2ish: Do the 2.5 hour drive to Logan to my parents.
6ish: Open gifts at my parents and eat dinner.

Christmas Eve Early: wife and I exchange gifts, get ready to hit the road

Christmas Eve Late: dinner and gifts on her mothers side (Kent)

Stay overnight in Kent

Christmas Day early morning: gifts with her parents.

Back to Massillon by noon, my family is coming to our house early afternoon Christmas
(Usually it would be go from Kent to Salem to my parents, but for once they all have 12/26 off and don't have to be asleep in the middle of the afternoon on Christmas)

Get off at 7 Tuesday, drive 6 hours to my parents. Hang out Wednesday morning, drive to her Aunt's Wednesday night for big family dinner. Drive to my Dad's parents' Christmas morning to say hello. Drive to her house in the afternoon for Christmas with the parents and brothers. Then to my Grandma's all day Friday with my Mom's side. Back to Lexington Saturday for work. 4 days, 17 hours of driving.

It varies year to year. We always try to have our family Christmas ON Christmas, but it doesn't always work out.

This year, I am heading to my Mom's on Christmas Eve, but the rest of my siblings won't be there until Friday. We will open gifts and have our annual party that evening. We get wasted and play Win, Lose or Draw. It's men v. women, and it always ends in a screaming match about who is cheating and lying. Happy Birthday, Jesus.

I am heading to my Dad's on Saturday to open gifts with that side of the fam.

Seriously contemplating telling the wife everything starts at my parents, and hers as well, 60-90 earlier than it actually does so maybe she will be on time.

That's awesome. I'm hoping to get an interview in Denver for a residency next year. I would be buying new equipment the second I heard from them.
