Gordon failed drug test works out well for the Browns, they can cut him and not worry about him being a beast for another team.

Has there been a bigger waste of talent over weed? Pathetic he has no self control or discipline. He was looking at a huge contract, and now the dude is going to be struggling for money.

Eh I don't cut him. I let him rot on the list, and he wants to get his life together let it be for the browns. No reason to cut him IMO.

I agree with this. There is no harm of not cutting him. He still won't have his FA status when he returns LOL.

I guess they're testing him for alcohol because of his DUI. He failed for alcohol, not weed.

Regardless, he knows what he can and can't do.

I agree with the others, don't cut him, let him rot on the, still gonna have him for 2 season of playing time, at a great value.

Also, if he hits the market do we/should we throw record money at Dez?

I can't think of any. At least Ricky Williams just quit for a while and played several seasons.

I don't buy the alcohol rumor. Florio started it, and the agent can say it was anything. NFL never releases what it was for. Regardless, even if it was alcohol, he is a jackass.

My company doesn't do this. But I have to assume, most companies where you have random drug testing, also screens for Alcohol, factor in that he's had the DUI, and his failed test, he should be flying the straight and narrow.

He knew he wasn't supposed to drink and he did it anyways, now he faces the consequences.

I doubt Dallas lets dez walk. Even if they do, he's not going come to Cleveland without a QB so I'd give it about 0% chance.

And no, we don't need to throw big money at WRs. Wrs are a luxury.

Agree. The best WR in the Super Bowl is #25 in the league in receiving yards.

Gotta have a QB to get them the ball before they go after ANY type of WR. And Manziel won't be it. Weeden sucked but I agree he'll have a better career than Manziel, which isn't saying much. Alcohol/partying is more important to Manziel. He just doesn't get it.

I haven't had this much lack of optimism for this franchise in my life.

So, you were more optimistic about the Browns with their roster in 2009 than you are with this team after they had their best year since 07? Not to mention they have 2 first round picks going into this draft...

Please look at our 2008 and 2009 draft classes and tell me with a serious face you were more optimistic during that time than you are now.

How quickly you forget how bleak it was then.
