Any chance Browns make a run at Gase to be our OC (knowing likely only one year)

Or would you all prefer a younger, not well known OC with the likelyhood being he'll be around a couple years to keep the continuity within the staff.

The latter.

No thanks on Gase. He benefitted from Peyton and even if he comes in and has a good year, he won't be around after that. It's a lose-lose.

Not to mention he wasn't interested in the Browns HC position, not sure why he would come in to be an OC.

He may not have a choice if he is not retained in Denver.

You always would prefer a younger, newer maybe lesser known OC that would stick around a few years......if he turns up being good. Many owners/gm's are shy to pull the trigger on a guy without the experience and go for the 'safer' choice

Kiper released his first mock today.

Browns with Danny Shelton at 12, and Ereck Flowers(OT) at 19. Wouldn't be upset with that, fills two obvious holes.

I don't think we see the Browns pick a WR in the first round as long as Farmer is GM.

The clock is ticking on the pats to have the luxury to make those type of picks. They aren't gonna have a HOF QB forever.

Browns are interested in pursuing Cecil shorts. I hope it happens. Knowing Cecil he would be ecstatic to come back to his hometown.

Cecil is definitely better than all 3 of them. Runs great routes good Possesion guy that also has the speed to make big plays. A true number 2 guy. Where all those guys are more 3/4/5 receivers

I would take Hawkins over Cecil shorts but my point was calling Cecil shorts a true #2. He might have potential to be that...but he's not now and isn't anywhere in the same planet as a true #2
