Can anyone in the NFL not named Seattle, Green Bay, New England or Denve go on the road in the playoffs and knock off any one of those teams?

3 weeks left....sure doesn't look like it to me.

Who would have the best chance providing they get into the playoffs?

No other teams have a shot at the Super bowl. Might as well put them in the conference champ games.

Well I'm pretty sure Dallas beat Seattle on the road earlier in the season.

I don't really think anyone in the NFC can.

As much as it pains me, if Pittsburgh gets in, and they're "Mr Hyde" that day and not "Dr Jekyl", I think they could probably go toe to toe with Denver offensively. It would have to be a "whoever has the ball last" type of shootout because Pittsburgh's defense absolutely sucks. Let's just hope they don't get in so we won't have to test my theory. ;)

Except for the Chicago game, Dallas is starting to show their "late season swoon" tendencies. I doubt they repeat their performance in Seattle.

Dallas hasn't lost on the road this year, 6-0.

I trust them more away from Jerry's Place than I do at home.

They've won 3 out of their last 4. I don't see any evidence of the typical late season disappointments.

The played like shit on a short week against a very explosive team.

This Sunday night will tell me if Dallas has a chance. On the road against Philly.

Right now this has nothing to do with Dallas but more about Seattle...their defense has kicked it in and to me look like the most unbeatable team.

Dallas has had a nice season and kinda fill the void as one of the potential teams of this thread.....but Romo in the playoffs in cold Seattle.....I don't see it at all.

The funny thing is today on the Dan Patrick show they showed the playoff break down and if it started today Green Bay wouldn't be in the playoffs. They are saying this Falcons game is a must win. Crazy because the Packers are the hottest team right now.

That doesn't seem right, Green Bay is leading their division, they would have to be in, and probably the #2 seed.

It is right because Detroit beat them already so if they lose Detroit would be the top of the division.

If I know anything about the NFL, it's that the unexpected happens all the time.

2007 Giants went 10-6 and won 3 straight road games as underdogs in the playoffs, then proceeded to knock off the 18-0 Patriots in the Super Bowl.

The Broncos and Seahawks have both lost to the Rams. Green Bay went on the road and hung a 7 spot on Detroit earlier this year and also got thumped by the now awful Saints by 21.

The key to all this is going is who will be playing at home. The Broncos, Packers and Pats are all undefeated at home. The Seahawks are the only team of this 'Elite 4' who has lost at home (to Dallas).

So home field is obviously huge. Pats have the inside track in the AFC...the NFC is wide open It's the Cardinals for now but they seem destined to drop a game or two down the stretch but have been proving people wrong all year. With Stanton at QB, it would surprise me if they beat Seattle, even with the game being at home. But Seatlle is just 4-3 on the road with the Arizona game being their only road game left.

If the Packers handle business and Arizona drops a game or two to St. Louis, San Fran or Seattle, home field going through Green Bay is going to be tough for opponents.

Right, but that's not what you said. You said if the playoffs started today, Green Bay wouldn't be in. That's not true, since Green Bay, at this moment, is leading their division. Now if they lose to Atlanta tonight, Detroit would be the division leader, and would be in over the Packers. Not sure what the tie breaker would be between Dallas and Green Bay for the wildcard spot.

I meant if they lose and the playoffs started today. Sorry.

IF they get in, it could be really good, since they play really good against good teams and have the skill players to potentially win shootouts with anyone.

With the way they play, though, I'm completely expecting them to get rolled by Atlanta (solely because they're shitty) and have to win their last two to have a shot. This has been the weirdest fucking season ever.
