From what I hear, Orrville is definitely going to the PAC. It's just a matter of when. I heard Northwest and West Holmes are possibilities as well. More interesting to me is the dialogue taking place regarding a PAC-WCAL merger. I'm hearing that multiple schools in both leagues support the merger. This has the potential to be a huge shakeup in this area's sports scene.

I talked to an A.D. in the WCAL and he said that the AD's have discussed the potential of adding 2 more teams.

187...that if the first I have heard of a potential merger. That would certainly be a shakeup. As for Orrville moving to the PAC...we still need the two Valley schools to leave and until that happens...the OCC it is. If the PAC would decide to add Orrville, Northwest, and West Holmes (that is the first I have heard of WH in the PAC) then I think we could call the PAC the former AOL. The only team missing would then be Coventry. Crazy how things go in cycles.

Until I see the first domino fall I will believe none of it. I would continue to prepare to be in the OCC.

Timken is gone for sure, correct? I read their consolidation is happening next school year. So there would be one opening.

The first opening in the PAC is going to happen with Timken leaving. That one will be filled by a school with no current league affiliation (Northwest, CCC). The two Valley schools HAVE been invited to join another league down that way, but they have not given the PAC a notice that they will be leaving (at this point).

We will be in the OCC next season for sure and in future years to come if the PAC thing falls through. But...I think we WILL be in the PAC within 2-3 years!

Old Rider...

Those games in the football field led RIGHT to games in the Pitt and in our gym!!! Triway, Wooster, BOTH were games we really lived for. Funny at that age I never had any idea one school was bigger or smaller than the other? We just wanted to play!!! Times certainly change and I don't see kids putting the "nasty" in those rivalries like we did? Not a shot at the kids, just a different time? Social media, internet... all these things blur the lines. Not a bad thing at all just different. Well, it seems clear the wheels of the machine are turning on getting us out of the OCC. should be an interesting few years. Old Rider, when we doing lunch again????

Sanitizer...I will let you know if I make it up your way in the near future. If you know when you may be coming to the Ville, let me know. My turn to buy!!

Speaking of Triway..........is this the lowest point in their program's last 30 years? They seem to be losing almost every game. I haven't seen a Triway basketball thread on here for quite some time. As much as people complain about Orrville's struggles, it seems that people still care. What is going on at Triway? Any insights Pitman? I can remember Orrville-Triway games where the auditorium was full of people watching on closed circuit television because they couldn't get a ticket. That game will be lucky to draw 600 people this year.

I am thinking Snoddy saw the talent coming and got out in time? Will the folks in Triway stick with Sanderson if he can't get the program back to where it was? Things certainly come and go in cycles...Look at who is dominating the WCAL in football these days.

187xovr...its Orrville vs. Triway...I bet it still draws a nice crowd! I believe this will be the first match-up in Orrville's new gym

I heard the same.......from you!

Sounds like it is official. Now lets get our application in the PAC and keep the fingers crossed that Jim France, the mighty Titans, Navarre Falcons, and the rest of the crew vote us in!

rrfan...you a believer yet?

Gone will be the days of Orrville "scheduling up" to get their teams prepared for the postseason. Better get some good non-league games.

No I am not a believer yet. We will see there is plenty of things that can get messed up here and not let us in.

All the schools in the PAC are bigger than us from an enrollment stand point so in some sense it still is scheduling up. However, the OCC naturally did a much better job of postseason prep than what the PAC may do. I would think that West Holmes, Wooster, and a non-local (cleveland/columbus) school will still be on our football schedule to make-up the non-league games.

I still find it hard to be really excited to get in this league. Hope you can go 8-2 and squeak into the playoffs....

Excited or not it sounds as if it will happen. Question is when? If Timken is gong 2015-16 and that opens the door for Northwest to jump. How soon will the Valley schools be gone as it appears the IVC is wanting to make the change effective 2016-17. The OCC I have heard has a 2 year after announcement agreement.

Sounds as if....means there are still a lot of things that have to happen. This is still to be determined.

As Flash said earlier...the Valley schools are making the announcement next month that they ARE leaving. As far as the OCC goes, I was told we would be able to get out in time to start the 2016-17 season in a new league.

"It DID mean something to me 20 years ago...but not so much now. The kids today dont care much about it either " ... The kids rushing the floor seemed to care alot last night. Luke stepped it up when needed at the end. Great game, Great finish. This will have to be the #1 highlighted game on Steve Smith Court!

I'm starting to agree with you guys. Orrville has no business being in the OCC, too small. They do not have the players to compete. They should have never been in that game let along win it against the #2 team in the OCC and the largest school. (#sarcasm):):RpS_blink::D

Girls are more than holding there own and that may continue for about 4 or so more years...

I also could not care less about a league championship.
