I feel like Varsity coaches should be involved in all levels of feeder programs.... Each level of the program should have some basic guidelines of what they want the kids to know by the time they get to the next level. Pretty simple, had this conversation with a few Medina coaches recently that was difficult. They tried to talk me into letting my 6 year old play in the tackle program the upcoming year. They bragged about the feeder program? I said I did not want to offend them but since I have lived in town they have had one winning season? Almost 3 thousand kids in the school??? Saw 13 coaches coaching 13 different ways of doing the SAME THING in a couple of the tackle teams practices I was within earshot of.

Pretty important in my book..... LOVED having the varsity kids coaching at the club too! That was really neat.
Sanitizer, I could argue that RRN passion is simply to get a very good man and coach fired for not having talent.

And your 2 year soap opera with me continues-blah blah blah!

I stay up really late at night and toss and turn because I hate Davault so much!
I even have a dart board with his face on it. I have nothing better to do with my time than hate this man. That's it guys you all figured me out or at least RRfan and RR1 did.

RRN- Congratulations the first step in fixing your problem is admitting you have one..

Great get by the OCC in adding Mt. Vernon to replace Orrville beginning in 2016-2017.

They're the biggest school in the league now in terms of boys enrollment.

Mt Vernon - 489
Wooster - 426
Senior - 423
Ashland - 410
Madison - 384
WH - 334
Lexington - 299
CF - 237

I wonder if there would be any chance of Marion Harding replacing Clear Fork when they leave?

I agree. I think they will be a great fit for the OCC especially from an enrollment standpoint. Athletically...not sure there is a whole lot of tradition/success there??

As for Clear Fork....where do they go?

I doubt Clear Fork can go anywhere. They have had limited success in the "money sports" so they are open to options but have none.

At some point will Clear Fork consider that being an Independent is better than facing some OCC teams if they can't find another league that makes sense?

Clear Fork should consider the league with Loudonville, Lucas, and Danville??

Clear Fork did look at that league and they were denied any consideration.

Wonder if RRN is ready to run the varsity baseball coach out of town after their games with Wooster this weekend...

By my count, we've been outscored 53-10 in 5 games (Dalton, Lex twice and Woo twice).

But RRN says that DeVault should be more like this guy...he should take notes. Or is it alright for there to be a decline in talent in baseball, but not football?

A head coach that doesn't even put his own two boys in his youth/feeder program....tells you all you need to know about how invested he is into the program.

The travel was to far in those 5 games for them to compete. They will be better in the PAC.

Travel has never hindered our ability to compete.

Playing schools twice our size in enrollment with our low numbers & talent has.

Baseball now dealing with what football has dealt with the last few years.

Funny how the prism changes when you have an ax to grind against the head coach.
