My wife and I aren't exchanging gifts this year. We are dropping some coin to remodel our basement, so that is what we are spending money on.

My mom asked me what I wanted, and I told her that I don't really have anything that I want. That didn't really go over that well, so I'll probably just ask her for gift cards or some new t-shirts or something. My mom has been in and out of the hospital lately, so I'd prefer they don't waste money on me.

Need some insulated, waterproof boots. Wouldn't mind a Columbia fleece or gift cards. I ask for gift cards every year, but my family really doesn't believe in giving gift cards.
