How anyone could vote for Kasich is beyond me.

Kasich does not support increased funding for higher education, despite the fact that Ohio state funding for higher ed has dropped by 18% over the last five years. The practical implication of this is that state universities will be forced to raise tuition, which harms low-income students who can't afford sticker price for college.

Kasich supports cutbacks on early voting, which allows people who work multiple jobs and whose employers won't let them come in late/early to cast their ballots. This is a bare attempt to exclude poor, minority voters who tend to vote Democrat. Evidence of voter fraud on which Kasich bases these views is literally nonexistent.

Kasich does not think government should do anything to decrease greenhouse gases. We do not need politicians who bow to business and refuse to address long-term problems like climate change.

Kasich does not support gay marriage. This is a basic human rights issue.

Kasich does not support increased gun purchase restrictions. After all gun violence that has been in the news recently, this position is particularly upsetting.

All positives. The only argument I have against Kasich is that he's a supporter of Common Core. Other than that, I have no complaints on the job he's done.

Isn't he also a supporter of Obamacare?

Heck yeah ya should have to show some sort of ID to vote.
Not a huge fan of Kasich but CoA posted alot of good things about the guy so I guess I dont feel so bad about my vote for him after all.

To be honest, when this became a topic a few years ago I was very surprised that it wasnt already a law. Just seems like it is common sense to show one.

I found it funny when registering and voting this morning in Illinois, the paper said to write your dl # on it. Then when I got to the lady at the desk she didn't ask me for my ID I tried giving her my id and she jumped back and was like noooo not necessary. Really? You don't need to see it!? SMH

I'm way out of the loop with the Ohio race, but I'm with COA. I'd find it tough to support anyone who has strong views against gay marriage. If that's a primary talking point on someone's platform then GTFO.

I'm for gay marriage, but I honestly don't give a fuck enough for it to affect my vote. Social issues are at the bottom for me when it comes to deciding votes.
