A few people on here were on the trade Kyrie train. Kept bringing up him not being a leader and such. Don't remember who though.

In the pre-LBJ days, Kyrie wasn't the most popular guy on here due to being injury-prone and a shoot-first PG who didn't make others better. It was a bad team that seemingly didn't have much direction, so the PG gets a certain amount of flack for that. Dion is best on a crap team where he's allowed to chuck up shots to his heart's content, but seems to struggle big-time in actual systems designed to win behind high-percentage looks.

Good post. Kyrie is an absolute stud when playing next to a facilitator but Kyrie is not in the same class as other PG-facilitators; just like those PG-facilitators are not in Kyrie's class when it comes to scoring ability. I'll admit I was one who didn't think he was a max-deal guy due to injuries. I was wrong. I also didn't think he'd be great coming out of college, due to injury and only a very small sample size. Again, clearly wrong.

Unless Blatt is just giving us lip service, I don't think that's the way he operates and I don't think LBJ wants to sit either. I can see them giving KI a night off one game, Love the next & LBJ the next but I'll be surprised if he just shuts them all down for the rest of the season. Lebron was quoted of saying he normally takes about 3 games off every year to rest for the post season. What Lebron wants, Lebron gets. Plain and simple. The Cavs shouldn't sit anyone because they can still gain home advantage if the Hawks/Warriors lose, especially in the finals. They are currently 2 games behind Memphis and Houston.

Should rest our guys vs. Boston. Easiest of the four out of Heat, Pacers and Nets; helping them stay 7th would be a good thing. Plus it would feel good to crush the Celtics in the playoffs. Because fuck Bill Simmons.

LeBron James is hinting that he may sit out the next two games, both of which are against the Boston Celtics.
The Cavs have clinched the No. 2 seed in the East and have nothing left to play for. James had a nice game on Wednesday against the Bucks and Brian Windhorst is suggesting he'll sit out the next two, which works in Boston's favor if true. The Celtics and Nets are currently in the playoffs, but the Pacers and Heat are just one game behind them in the standings. The Celtics getting to miss LeBron in two straight games could be a huge win for them in their quest for the playoffs, while LeBron's fantasy owners need to prepare for life without him over the next week. Iman Shumpert could be the guy to benefit most from him missing games.

Didn't think about it until I read this, but it makes a lot of sense. Celtics are sitting at the 7 seed and can't go any higher. Out of the 4 possible teams we'd play in round 1, they'd be the team I'd be most confident against. And I know some on here will be over-the-top confident because that's what they do, and start the whole "we'll destroy everyone we ever play...ever", but I'm a little more of a realest. There's nothing realistic about thinking a team that can't go .500 playing 52 against the east is going to give the cavs trouble.

I can remember being super-confident against the Magic in 2009 and that sucked. Obviously they're not on the same level, but I'm sure the Mavs were overly-confident in beating a 2 game over .500 team when they were a 1 seed, or the Spurs being a 60 win team losing to an 8 in the first round. If you think the Pacers are an easy walk-through, you're insane.

Agreed. Not saying that I think the Cavs would lose, but these guys are all NBA players. They make millions for a reason, and their ability has brought them to this point. To think that we're going to intimidate our way to a sweep is foolish. When you get to this level, anyone can win on any given day. Heck, the Sixers could be 2-1 against us this year very easily. I think we will be the team to come out of the east, but Benny The Jet is right... if you think we're going to walk all over everyone else without breaking a sweat, you're mistaken.

Intimidate? No, we are just flat out significantly better than the bottom half of the East's playoff teams. If it goes more than 5 games in any of those series, Blatt should be fired immediately.

I agree with you, sleeper. We're a million times better than Boston, Miami, etc. However, doesn't mean they won't snag a win or two. I mean, if we shoot the ball poorly from three, there's a good chance we lose. That's a huge part of our offense and what opens things up for LeBron and Kyrie in the lane. Anyways, we should move on from this. The Cavs are the best team in the East. Let's just hope they play like it so they can rest after game 4 while the other teams in the conference battle for 6 or 7 games.sleeper;1720358 wrote:Intimidate?
