This is why I refuse to actually care about any regular season games

If Lebron's going to be in "chill mode" until it matters, then I'm not going to get upset when we lose a regular season game.

It seems like he only deactivates "chill mode" for the big games this season.lhslep134;1689627 wrote:This is why I refuse to actually care about any regular season games

Yup. And how are you supposed to evaluate a team whose best player only tries hard a select few times?like_that;1689629 wrote:It seems like he only deactivates "chill mode" for the big games this season.

It's hard for me to evaluate any of them because it seems like VERY few give a rat's butt in the majority of games until the last 6-10 minutes of the game. LeBron said it bt I think 95% of comfortable starters are right there with him.lhslep134;1689630 wrote:Yup. I think he meant chill as in not upset or fired up/angry at another player. And Harris getting in his face changed that.
I didn't take it as he was just pretty chill about the game and wasn't trying hard to win.
Although I do think NBA stars go in coast mode until it really starts to matter.

This contradicts your whole post lol. Lebron was coasting last night and he was coasting against the heat. Hard to criticize a guy with the line he had against the heat, but it was all kumbaya on xmas day. He didn't seem to have a killer instinct in him that night at all. I had a feeling that was going to happen, when I heard the heat planned to play a tribute video for him. Butter him all up.

He rarely has that killer instinct....he wants to win and win a lot, but he's too nice. I think he's a good guy that is really still a kid at heart. I still think the average NBA game lacks a lot of intensity and few players on the court are really locked in and 100% focused on execution/winning.like_that;1689638 wrote:This contradicts your whole post lol. I agree with most of this post. I think his killer instinct comes during most of playoff time though. Obviously also when people talk shit to him. I wish somebody would talk shit to him every game. This is why the MJ/Lebron debate should never happen. As for your comment about the average NBA game, this is one of many reasons why I have lost interest in the NBA outside of the cavs. These guys simply do not give a fuck enough to go out every single game. The vets are smart enough to know when to use their energy. It seems the only teams that go all out every game are the new up and coming teams, before they learn the hard way it really doesn't fucking matter in a 7 game series. I think they should shorten the season. That could be a quick fix that might ignite some energy in every game.Ironman92;1689640 wrote:He rarely has that killer instinct....he wants to win and win a lot, but he's too nice. I just mean that I take "chill" and "coasting" differently.like_that;1689638 wrote:This contradicts your whole post lol. Lebron was coasting last night and he was coasting against the heat. Most players/teams coast.
I took what Lebron was saying as he wasn't fired up at a player or the magic. But then Harris got in his face and that changed. Not that he didn't care or was just going through the motions until Harris got in his face.

I wouldn't want LeBron to play hard most of the regular season. He has out more mileage on that body than most do by the time they are 38. Keep the guy fresh for playoffs the next 5 years. Much rather that than #1 seed for 2 years and washed up LeBron for the rest of his career.

I'd rather have Lebron save his body for the postseason too.

Obviously I would too. It would just be nice to get some type of "relax cleveland, we got this shit" sign from the cavs at some point in this season.

The Cavs are fine but the loss of Varejao was big. They were already pretty weak in the paint defensively and now are even weaker.
We will be a top 4 seed in the East by season's end and have a great chance of advancing to the NBA finals IF we don't get any help in the paint. If we get help in the paint, I think we will be a top 2 seed and easily cakewalk to the NBA finals.

This team is a complete abomination.
Getting boat-raced on your home floor by the fucking Pistons is as low as it gets.

They might as well just fire blatt now. That is clearly what Lebron is trying to make happen.
Let LRMR select the next head coach so we don't have to go through this again.

So LeBron is trying to run their coach out of town?
