My opinion is the NBA would do their homework on this. How many other games has the official worked? Where were those games? What was the outcome? Etc etc etc.like_that;1728938 wrote:Then this does not apply....

I have in wrestling yes. Reffed my former coach's son. Not that easy to do.lhslep134;1728941 wrote:Have you ever been in a position where you had to rid yourself of subjectivity in order to be objective? Once you reach a baseline of objectivity it's pretty damn hard to allow subjective forces to impact your objectivity, even in sports. I can attest, even though it wasn't refereeing.
It's not a situation many people experience and so I don't find it surprising you say someone who believes they can call an objective game is kidding themselves.

Lol we need to thread ban lshlep. Dude argues anything and everything just to show "his vast knowledge" of arguing. Every thread he is on turns into a pissing match.
Cavs lose by 5 tonight btw.

It's a lawschool thing. My roommate is in his 2nd year. The guy will argue about anything and everything to the point of exhaustion. I've learned to just act lost and to not engage him further.

As if there was any doubt:
Pau Gasol (hamstring) will play in Game 6 against the Cavaliers on Thursday, as per Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau.
This is great news for the Bulls as they head into an elimination game on Thursday. Gasol's minutes and range will likely be limited, so fantasy owners will want to take that into account before rostering him on Thursday. With Gasol's return, Joakim Noah, Nikola Mirotic, and Taj Gibson will all see a dip in playing time in Game 6.

Cry me a river you baby. It's a freaking discussion between me, like_that, and Wildcats on the potential, or lack thereof, of impropriety in NBA referring based on where the ref grew up.DeyDurkie5;1728948 wrote:Lol we need to thread ban lshlep.

But not impossible, and certainly not impossible for a professional whose livelihood depends on being objective. Your personal experience says that maintaining objectivity is hard to do and mine says it's not. Agree to disagree.like_that;1728947 wrote:I have in wrestling yes. Reffed my former coach's son. No I'm trying to explain why you felt the need to butt in with an unnecessary, unwarranted, and stupid personal attack.DeyDurkie5;1728960 wrote:Dude is trying to argue his validity of arguing[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
It's because you're an oversensitive little twat. You're literally complaining about me, like_that, and wildcats having a topical discussion. If that doesn't scream "I'M A LITTLE BITCH", I don't know what does.

They announced this yesterday. Cavs are gonna have to attack him when he is on D, and they better not leave him open for mid range shots. Whatever they did against that lineup in game 2, keep it up.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1728955 wrote:As if there was any doubt:

If you have such a problem with my posting Durkie, ignore me or stop visiting the site. But I'm certainly not going to change my posting style because you're an oversensitive crybaby.

You're fine. You live with a lawyer-in-training you know how argumentative we can be lol. But that doesn't give any validity to Durkie's post because he can easily ignore me if he doesn't like my posts.Automatik;1728967 wrote:I was just fucking around btw, I enjoyed when you slapped Webbie around.
And yeah, Webbie is doing a fantastic footwedge impression on that thread.

Agree with all of this. He's saying he can't jump though, at least that is what the local radio guys were saying at lunch today. If that's true, Pau won't be an issue.like_that;1728963 wrote:They announced this yesterday. Cavs are gonna have to attack him when he is on D, and they better not leave him open for mid range shots. You have fully admitted you argue way too much on this site. In fact it was directed at something I said and you agreed that you do go overboard with it.lhslep134;1728962 wrote:No I'm trying to explain why you felt the need to butt in with an unnecessary, unwarranted, and stupid personal attack.

So, I'd say you are being the "over-sensitive bitch" with your reaction to my comment. Carry on lshlep, defending the world of OC people being wrong!

So is he playing simply for the sake of "all hands on deck" or is he going to bring something to the table? I think the latter. No way Pau is going to hurt his team by being out there if he's not healthy enough to contribute.

It's a combination of both. But if the report I heard of him not being able to jump is true, he's going to be worthless.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1728974 wrote:So is he playing simply for the sake of "all hands on deck" or is he going to bring something to the table? Let's take a look at what happened:
1) like_that, wildcats, and I got into a discussion over referee impropriety, a relevant topic
2) Durkie comes in and suggest I should be thread banned
And I'm the over-sensitive one. lmao

I thought the same thing about Kyrie before game 5. From his interviews he gave the impression that he was "dead man walking" with very little to give. As Dr. mentioned, he gave the "I'm gonna give it what I can/all hands on deck" sort of impression to what he could bring. It turns out he had more than expected. I wouldn't sleep on Gasol, which I'm sure the Cavs won't.wildcats20;1728975 wrote:It's a combination of both. Both of them should be won in 6 games or less but I'd rather play the Wizards.thavoice;1728907 wrote:So which team do you Cav fans think would be the 'easier' matchup between Wash/atl?
