Probably the same traditional shit we always make. I think the thanksgiving meal is the most overrated meal that exists.

I'm pretty neutral on it. My favorite part is green bean casserole and the left over turkey. Which I could make any day of the year if I wanted to.

I doubt I would ever stray from the traditional turkey, stuffing, etc; but some variances could be nice. I know a couple families who do a seafood feast.

We make one traditional turkey and one Cajun-injected deep fried turkey. Both are bomb dot com. We also have all of the normal Thanksgiving sides. The mashed potatoes are my fave. We also have a ton of appetizers to munch on throughout the day.

I love Thanksgiving...partly for the food, and partly because my ginormous, dysfunctional family gets together and drinks too much, and then fights over who gets a bedroom at the end of the night. Good times.

With regard to mashed potatoes, let me tell you this, add a packet of Hidden Valley Ranch (Original Ranch) Seasoning Mix to the mashed potatoes and you will never have them any other way. They are outstanding!!

I'm a big fan of Thanksgiving. I've cooked the turkey every year for the past 4 or 5 and I don't plan on changing that up any time soon. My father-in-law wants to do an "Italian" style Thanksgiving this year, which I think means we are having a full Thanksgiving meal plus a pasta meal. I'm not 100% sure on that.

I am not saying it's a bad meal, but I just don't get the hype for the meal itself.

After I graduated from school these dumbasses started a restaurant called "thanksgiving dinner 365." I am not sure what made them think that would actually be a good idea. From my understanding the place has closed.

Btw my favorite way to prepare the turkey is on the charcoal grill.

I wish I had a smoker so I could smoke a whole turkey.

I usually just add a clove or 2 of chopped garlic and some fresh cut chives to the taters.

I love garlic mashes taters, but we go with just butter and salt for Thanksgiving. I am pretty sure there can never be enough of either on a potato.

This sounds like an awesome idea! My Dad usually does Thanksgiving for the family my siblings and myself usually bring some sort of side and/or dessert. My Dad has a Weber smoker and this giant charcoal grill, I'll have to suggest he does this this year.

How long does that take?

Not sure I'll ever cook a turkey not using my Big Easy, but I could be convinced now that I have a sweet charcoal grill.

About three hours. This is pretty helpful www.butterball.com/how-tos/grill-a-turkey

Be sure to put some type of liquid in your drip pan. Last time I did it I cut some apples and onions and put them in the drip pan.

It is at my in-laws so if we had crab it would be the imitation crab bought past its expiration date at the local shit store they have in that area.
