Ours was this past weekend on saturday. It was insane the number of kids that were out. Great weather obviously helped. We went through a shit ton of candy.

Zero but when you don't answer the door and leave all the lights off it helps.

We typically get a good number of kids in our neighborhood getting their trick-or-treat dinner...I mean candy. Usually a bunch of white trash getting their free handouts! The thing that gets me is when mom/dad have a candy bucket for a toddler/baby in a stroller who can't even walk. The kid cant even eat the candy, but Mom/Dad can!

This. White trash parents are the worst.

Lights on, candy on the porch or we are outside in the yard... 180 foot frontage for most of the homes in the area, 100 plus feet to the front door could be a factor... :)
Even the kids in the area go else where ..... bigger pay out in close lot sizes...

2x this!!! The amount of trash walking up and down the sidewalks with infants/toddlers, who can't or shouldn't be eating candy was amusing. I told my wife that this is their food supply for the next month.

Seems like Trick or Treat varies from place to place. A lot of places around us had theirs this past weekend. Ours is Thursday night. This year should be better since we'll have someone at the house passing out candy. Last year, nobody could be home so we left a bowl out and asked for an "honor system." So much for that. I got home 5 minutes after Trick or Treat started and the rat bastards had already emptied the bowl.

Those little "rat bastards" are more than likely (sadly) adults.

2 bags of candy....probably about 35 or so kids. Heard one house down the road was giving a free beer to any parent who showed up in costume with theirkid.

When Ilived inthe country....hardly got anyhone, but I now live in town with alot of kids in the fewblocks.

Town I live near had theirs Saturday. It was fun driving through town with about 500 kids/adults running around into the streets without paying attention to things like cars and shit.

Trick or Treat night, the one night when 25% of local kids are "home sick". Good thing there are thoughtful parents that will go trick or treating for thrm.

Ours was Saturday. I had no idea what to expect since it was my first time ever passing out candy. I would say we got about 50-60 kids. I went through almost one large bag of candy (about 150 pieces).

We were never allowed as little kids to go to a house that didn't have at minimum a porch light on. I guess my parents respected the neighbors. When parents didn't take us, we just knew not to do it.

Kids these days, they have no respect(I can say this now that I'm 30).
