This is a Browns thread. Let's keep it on topic.

Well you pricks essentially get the next 3 weeks off playing the combined 3 worst teams in the NFL. How did the scheduler set THAT up? Hmmmm lets see... non-divisional schedules are based on how shitty your previous 2 season's records are so the NFL can keep it "competitive" across the board. So now the Clowns waltz into a 5 game winning streak while the Bengals are busting their asses to stay above water. My unabiding hatred for anything orange is causing me to kick pumpkins.

Haley needs dumped. You're going against a team whose best CB missed most of practice and you...focus on the run and passing away from Haden. I was mindboggled at how stupid, conservative, etc. the offensive game plan was. It was almost like there was this mentality that, since it was Cleveland, it was an automatic win no matter what they threw out there. Which works some years, but probably not IMMEDIATELY after the Browns set a "largest comeback EVAR" win and are all on the "we are pumped up and have a new mentality" train.

In his defense, the Browns were giving up 150 yards per game on the ground.

How did one of those "off weeks playing one of the worst teams in the NFL" work for the Steelers against TB?

First of all, 2 years ago has nothing to do with the schedule of a current year. Secondly, only two of a team's games are determined by where that team finishes in the standings. In the current stretch, only the Raiders game was determined by where the Browns finished. Everyone else in the division gets to play the Jags and Bucs this season.

I'll never understand his gameplan or lack of it, same goes for his in-game adjustments.

Told ya. This steelers team is not very good. The defense is soft, cannot cover anyone and the offense has no identity.
The browns out steelered the steelers.

ALot of reasons for it...the natural up and down swing of the teams and talent. A few big salaries on the steelers not allowing for their signature depth they used to have. It is just a catch phrase now, but it truly used to be next man up in pittsburgh with their depth from drafting and developing. May be 6-8 wins this year....

I said after the drive in the 1st with 10 straight runs that he was just going to wear them down but that is such a fickle thing. Then the adjustments were pretty much funny and moot.

What did Tomlin have to say during his post game presser? I'm sure the same old scripted BS. There's really no excuse to be that shitty on offense.

It is not the good ole days when Bettis or another big back would just wear down a defense to where late in the third they stopped wanting to try and tackle him. The strength of this team, if there is one, is BR running the no huddle and working the running game in that way after they are spread out

Well, it worked during halftime, when he mentioned the difference in the game was two big plays. And I'm like, "Uh, dude, you're down 24-3...more than two plays is the difference, yo!"

They did tie the browns in teh 2nd half so that is a plus!
They talked to Hines Ward about it on SNF in the last 6 qtrs the browns have outscored the steelers like 60 something to 13!

I guess we will have to live with the trash talking for a year.

I do blame myself though. Every year for quite a long time I went onto an old fav website of mine and preached how this was the year the browns blah blah blah. It would get alot of haters, browns fans, but was the ultimate jinx.

and I didnt do it this year......so this is my fault steelers nation!

Usually the opposite for me. Nothing particularly went bad saturday sports wise for me but our HS team losing Friday night set the weekend's bad mojoe in motion. The only plus was the huge 50/50 drawing at the HS game of $6805 but even at that a guy from 3 hours away just in town for the game won it! Oh well...

It was. Never heard of Jackson County but looked it up and yeah, it could be a 3 hour trip. I bet he went home, told his wife "hey, I won the 50/50. It was $1000!.
We dont lose often but it usually sets off a bad weekend!

We used to do that for playoff games to watch league teams play on the opposite night of our game and also during the season if we played a dog team we would go watch a better league matchup!
I bet he was ecstatic! That had to be a big wad of cash!

Um, don't your Bengals feature orange predominantly in the their Color Scheme?
