A's at Royals

A's trade for a postseason stud....Lester gets his chance at KC which will be insanely rowdy. KC traded you Will Myers for a playoff stud in James Shields. Should be outstanding! Go Dunn!

Giants and Madison Bumgarner at Pirates and for now Edinson Volquez

I am sure these predictions will fall flat, but I am picking both road teams. Lester will show up for the post season, and the Giants seem to know how to win when they get to the playoffs.

I like the Royals as a team of destiny. A's haven't been the same without Cespedes. It might not hurt them in a one game playoff, but if they survive that, they'll never make it out of the division series.

Speaking of "one game playoff", I never miss a chance to say how stupid that is in a sport like baseball.

I would like to see Beane win a title. Doubt it happens, but out of all the teams remaining I would like them to win. Not many teams this year that i hate in the playoffs. If anyone other than Detroit or Pittsburgh wins, I will be ok with that.

I hate the one game playoff too. Should be a best of 3, all 3 games are played at the home of the team with the better record. This will at least give you an incentive to win the top wildcard spot.

I think the Royals are just mirroring the Pirates but 1 year later. I like Lester but think KC will be rockin.

Ironic a bit that the A's forget how to score as soon as they trade away their least Moneyball like player. Hoping Beane and Dunn have the good karma but I think in KC will be tough.

Giants definitely are a playoff type team....they are about a run less per game without Pagan.

I like a 3 game series but 2 and 1 ensuring that every playoff fan base gets at least 1 game.

Pirates, Cardinals, Tigers and Dodgers(sorry Laley) for me. So almost half the field.

I agree about the 3 game series instead of the 1 game playoff for the WC, but at the same time that would mean 4-5 days off for the team with the best record (who the WC winner would play). That many days off might make them rusty. The ASG break isn't event 5 days long. Should be more than 1 game though.

A's, O's, Dodgers or Giants I'd be fine with. I will root against the rest.

I've got Detroit and the Dodgers in the WS. Detroit finally has the base running to manufacture enough runs to win the tight games unlike last year, Martinez is the best hitter in baseball right now and they have 4 aces if Verlander shows up

I don't see the Tigers beating the Orioles.

That's a big "if"...JV is a horse that has been ridden too hard.

And David Price has been pretty bad in the playoffs. So you really might only have 1 Ace, Scherzer, since Sanchez is probably going to be in the Pen.

Yost just retarded managing. No way I take out Shields with a lead in the 6th and bring in a 23 year old that just throws fastballs and is wild.

Ned Yost is an idiot. Why would you take out James Shields there?

Yes, what an important correct ball 4 call by the ump to prompt Yost to make that ill-fated move! If it is a called strike 3 and DP which it looked like it would have easily if KC got the call, the Royals probably win the game!
