Mogadore is nice but Hartville is very nice, school system is geat, area has lots to offer and good place to have a family.
Belly isn't lying, if you are working in Mogadore, Uniontown/Hartville is a VERY nice area to live and the Lake schools are really good.

It is a little farther away from "things" to do and more expensive to live than Mogadore, but the schools are better.

I moved to the Montrose/Fairlawn area about 2 years ago from Columbus. Its a nice area and good place for families. But Columbus is way better and it's not close. If I didn't have major reasons to stay up here (job/gf). I'd definitely be back in Columbus; there's just way more to do. Although it's probably an improvement from Toledo though.

Orrville would be about a 45 minutes drive to Mogadore on a good day....I could think of a lot of places better that are closer.
I second orrville. If your kid is any good at football, you'll have a job offer in Massillon

big fan of Mogadore. Small school football power and the reservoir is nice to fish in. The small town feeling reminds me of home and its like 10 minutes from downtown Akron.

Brother in law works for Goodyear he just relocated from Nashville back to the home office. They bought a home in Macedonia but Nordonia schools.

I lived in Green for 10 years before I moved to North Carolina in 2012 and my family really enjoyed living there. It was close to lots of shopping and restaurants, but still has a smaller town feel.

For a job in Mogadore, I would agree that Hartville/Uniontown/Green would be a perfect area to live in. Added plus is that Hartville/Uniontown is Stark county with lower taxes.

The ironic thing is you live in Ohio. It ain't like you're posting from Paris all about how life sucks in the rust belt. You're posting from a former cornfield east of Columbus right down the road.

So far our 8th grader has zero interest in following in big brother's footsteps. I'm kind of hoping a change of schools will cure that. It is nice however not having a dog in the fight on Friday nights. Leaves us many options to visit different games.

And it still didn't result in a state championship for the Tigers in any of those instances. I'm sure the Tigers would have done better with Troy Smith...the Buckeyes sure did!

Columbus has that "everyone from there is a huge asshole" thing that takes away from it though

No it doesn't. I've lived in both areas so I have some perspective. It's not like I was being outrageous in saying Akron is a more boring place than Columbus.
