I used to watch every season of The Biggest Loser, but haven't in quite a few years. We plan to tune into this one, though.

a week isn't always a week. read articles they sometimes go 15 days between weigh ins and sometimes 2 weigh ins in 1 week.

Constant PT sessions, limited food, very overweight, and starting out a program can equal big losses. Also, read that a week always isnt a week..sometimes 10-12 days.

Wrestlers know how to cut weight and are the hardest working athletes. That's how.

I've also read before that first week some contestants load up on water so that they weigh as much as possible before starting so that their more likely to not be kicked off.

I used to watch it but yeah..few years ago a wrestler did very well in the show as well. he was a big time wrestler from Iowa.

I think those with athletic backgrounds would have an advantage because they have had a history of working hard, working out and determination.....that they just happen to lose for a matter of time and gained lost of weight

Wrestlers are used to cutting weight, and they work hard. There is a correlation there. I know plenty of wrestling coaches in their 50's who still have that same mindset when their wrestling days. If they were put in a situation where they needed to focus and lose weight, they would do it.

Any of those guys balloon up to 368 lbs?

Look....when I saw them display the "-38"...him having a past in wrestling was the first thing I thought. But I will say those that let themselves get to 150 lbs overweight have so many negative factors that far outweigh (ha) the knowledge and experiences of being a wrestler.

Regardless, no one thinks a great wrestler isn't a hard worker.
