LOL....dude's days are LONG over. He'll be lucky to get another sack in his career. And unless the Browns completely fall apart and are not competitive, I doubt Manziel sees the field as a starter this year.Tiernan;1657021 wrote:Harrison will absolutely rip some Clowns head off in 3 weeks. Harrison was brought in for some depth at the position, I doubt he plays much.
Jones is fucked, Shazier is out next week but just a mild sprain.

What happened to Jones? I'd heard they both went down and figured Harrison wasn't brought in to start. If he was, that defense is in a world of hurt relying on a guy with nothing left. Figured he would be more of an emotional "rah rah" guy than an impact player.Automatik;1657037 wrote:Harrison was brought in for some depth at the position, I doubt he plays much.

Yeah I love him as well. Also think Connor Barwin is a pretty cool dude.BR1986FB;1657017 wrote:I bleed Brown & Orange and don't consider myself a "jock sniffer" but JJ Watt is easily becoming my favorite NFL player. Dude just gets it.....

Jones needs wrist surgery and is probably out for the year. Moats and Spence will start, and behind them are a bunch of unknowns.BR1986FB;1657040 wrote:What happened to Jones? What is it about playing in Dallas that makes you so selfish/not a team player?

Probably has something to do with Jerry Jones. I think he's happy as long as headlines are being made by his team...regardless of what kind of headlines they are. At least, that's the only way I can explain why he insists on being his team's GM despite being woefully inadequate for that job.SportsAndLady;1657076 wrote:What is it about playing in Dallas that makes you so selfish/not a team player?

Just proves my point how New England fans are a joke when they pretend they know a much more about football than other fans.Iliketurtles;1657112 wrote:Yeah that was pretty awesome. A lot of cool information in there.
That whole region doesn't even have half the amount or NFL players produced by Ohio LOL.

If you want to talk about knowledgable football fans just look at the ratings. The ratings in markets like Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati are usually as high as atleast one of the teams markets actually playing on Thursday or Monday night football.

ESPN suspends Bill Simmons for 3 weeks for calling Goodell a liar.
So just to be clear
- knock your wife unconscious: 2 week suspension
- imply she deserved to be knocked out(Stephen A Smith): 1 week
- Say what everyone is already thinking about the commissioner of an organization you don't work for: 3 weeks

Thanks for the article (really pushed my gim teechen reading ability.
A couple years ago I predicted the CB position would grow to taller players like the WR position. As of now CB's are 2nd shortest position but I still think the 6'1-6'3 CB isn't far away.
Lord knows I've been wrong before.

Bull shit. ESPN is retarded, they need to hope and pray he doesn't get pissed and split Grantland off, that's by far the best thing that site has goingHelloAgain;1657229 wrote:ESPN suspends Bill Simmons for 3 weeks for calling Goodell a liar.

I'd love to see him split it off and then just unleash on ESPN all the shit he probably knows. He's the kind of guy who'd do it.

He wont. Because I can almost guarantee he has a non-compete clause, and while he is a big enough name to do something on his own, he likely wouldnt want to. With NBA season just around the corner, no way does he want to be off the air.Classyposter58;1657249 wrote:Bull shit. He gets paid a boatload to host ESPNs NBA coverage, he wouldnt get that at TNT (and Im not sure they would bring him on anyway). But, either way, a non-compete clause would keep him off the airwaves for likely 6 months, at minimum.

If you ask most people what the two coolest things ESPN has done the last 5 years are, they would say
- The 30 for 30 Series
- Grantland
He is the architect and creative vision behind both of those. If there's any employee that ESPN needs more than they need ESPN, it's Simmons. Especially with public opinion firmly on his side in this issue.

Such a joke of a penalty.
I hope Paul is ok, but if he doesn't drop his head there is no contact to his head.

Yeah, that was a terrible call. If you are given the catch, how can you be defenseless?
