Let's not act like the media now. They still will have nice pieces in place. I doubt it will be a complete collapse, but I can see them coming down to earth. Wilson is going to be paid, so it will be hard to keep others. I still think Wilson is overrated and should be interesting to see how he does without Marshawn Lynch. I think there is a good possibility that Lynch isn't on their roster next year.

Agree on Wilson being overrated. He'll get paid but if their defense falls off, along with that running game, he'll be exposed for being pretty good, not great.

Super Bowl losing teams tend to have a decent fall. I am not ready to call Wilson overrated. He is very, very good and I know the word overrated and his salary shouldnt be linked, but it will be. It is a team game, no doubt, but he is 11-1 against SB winning QB's. Does he deserve to be at the top in pay? I dont think so. He is doing it though with a complete no name cast of wide receivers. Something will have to give $$ wise, and I agree they come down to earth. So far he just doesnt take any hits and has stayed healthy.
He signs a big deal and less $$$ for the rest.

It will be intereting no doubt.

Why is Mulatto Jesus getting a pass on his terrible decision to throw that pass and/or the accuracy of the pass?

I've seen 1 person begin to question that, and that was Steve Young, who said " I hate the play call, if you don't like the personnel call a TO and run it, but if you're gonn run a play that every high school team runs on a friday night, Wilson has to see the color flash and put the ball out the back of the endzone" (Paraphrasing) He was quickly cut off by Boomer, who made sure to deflect the blame back to coaches, and stating great play by NE.

And all day today, it's been Pete Carroll, and Bevell taking the burn, where as Wilson, IMO should be taking just as much, if not more heat.

I have hard some criticism that the pass must be thrown lower, and it should be but it wasnt a bad pass. I would say it was a better play by the DB than a bad pass by Russell. HE has been taking blame for the pass since it happened.

Maybe i've missed it, just hadn't heard much of it.

And of course he personally is taking blame, thats what a leader does. I just mean, haven't heard him getting blasted by the media the way Brady/Manning would.

Think it was Cris Carter this morning, but not sure. Do know it was a former player. He was saying the pass needs to be facemask and below. It was just a fantastic play. Look at the replay and he covers a ton of ground quickly. It was not a bad pass, the DB just made a better play on the ball than the WR.

Butler read the play the instant the ball was snapped and jumped the rout and beat the WR to the ball, end of story. If he catches it Carroll is a genius for throwing but since it was an INT he's the goat.

Agreed. If the DB didnt read it from the start and make a great play it is an easy TD and people think they are genius because everyone figured Lynch or Russell would be running it in.
They showed this AM that throwing from the 1 had a higher TD % than running from the 1.

I still think they shoulda ran though!

Cowher had a good quote this AM....it all came down to Carroll having a play they probably shouldnt have ran, and Belicheck having his team prepared for that exact play.

Except it was a good, if not great, play call given the personnel on the field. With 8 "in the box" types and 3 DBs, it's not that Carroll shouldn't have called that play, it's more like Belichick baited him into it and then was prepared for it.

True. That is why I am not going with the worst play call in history. When you dont go with your bread and butter and it doesnt work....you will take shit. Would be like if Chapman decided to throw anything but his 100+ fastball in the bottom of the 9th in game seven and gives up the game winning hit. If he K's the guy....everyone applauds it saying how it was such a great pitch because everyone was expecting a FB, but if it doesnt everyone wonders why you didnt go with the best ya got.

Sometimes you just go with your best even if the other person/team knows it is coming.
