Lynch is a grade A dbag. I used to be a fan, but his act is beyond tired. Gets paid millions to play a fucking game, yet can't be bothered with simple obligations. Fine him every chance they get.

As a Browns fan, this game reminds me of watching the playoff game between the Steelers and the Ravens. Who do you root for?.....neither, you just hope for a train wreck.

I'm of the opinion that if he doesn't want to talk to the media then he shouldn't have to. The Seahawks have plenty of other players that would love a chance to talk with the media. Plus honestly the questions the reporters ask are straight retarded and you can pretty much drone out responses like a coach with 5 minutes of training. "Oh its going to be a battle, we need to play hard and stay aggressive, when we play as a team these guys are very good". Blah, its boring anyway.

It's part of the job he gets paid millions of dollars to do, that's why he should do it. He could just quit and not have to worry about it.

I understand the part of doing for obligation reasons of the job. On the other hand the media asks some of the dumbest questions, I can see why a lot of athletes don't want to be bothered by them. To be honest i dislike the media way more than Lynch.

I like Lynch. If the NFL didn't fine him the other weeks where he basically did this I don't see how they can now.

Also so out of the hundreds of questions today the only talking points I've heard from the media was:
1. Brady wants to play 5-6 more years
2. Lynch repeating
3. 10 dumbest questions asked on media day.


Basically Lynch not saying something gave the media something to talk about so both sides should be happy.

The media publicizes and helps promote the sport, and because of that it means $$$$ for the league. No excuse for going out of your way to treat them badly. I agree with the statement that it's part of your job.

Yeah. I mean, what was the biggest disclosure from yesterday? Either Belichek's favorite stuffed animal growing up or wondering if Blount intentionally sabotaged his stay with Pittsburgh to go back to N.E.?

It's basically a worthless sham of a day that virtually everyone involved with looks at as a bizarre sideshow. HOW DARE LYNCH MAKE A MOCKERY OF A SHAM?!?!?

Players are more on their game now in media week. Most dont want to cause a stir and rock the boat. It has gotten more boring, but Lynch has been acting idiotic regarding interviews for a long time so it wasnt like yesterday was a first for him.
You can do yourself a lot of good if you use and play the media the right way, but he chooses not to and that is his right.

Originally people were saying he has a fear of speaking in public and being in front of people, and that the league shouldnt be able to force him, but he goes on Conan, and has done commercials so he cannot be that afraid of it!

Being on Conan may be fun; being asked "hey what will be the difference maker in the game on Sunday" 160 times isn't. But whatever. His contract probably mandates he do both. Personally, I couldn't care less. The two weeks inbetween the conference championships and superbowl is such a joke - this year especially.

What would you have it? You need some time for the fans of the winning teams and the league to make final arrangments. 1 week is just not enough.

If I have any gripes about the Super Bowl, is that there is way to much media coverage. Unless I'm a fan of the teams in it, what the F*** do I care about all the interviews?

I don't even think I'd care if one of the teams was the Browns. I'd be sick of the media saturation, and I would want the game to get here ASAP. Which is exactly how I feel now.

Disagreed with the bold part. Not sure how I'd change it, but I don't think you'd find too many people who weren't sick of the coverage by this time a week ago. Seems like ESPN even has to try to fill the time with pulling anyone and everyone from the sports world down to Arizona to give their opinions on whatever.

Yea, even the week before the NCG when it was all about OSU, it got boring real quick. Every show had the same guests saying the same things. Eventually they were basically putting anyone willing to talk about the game on TV.
