I see 'Wedge has ejaculated the next series a little prematurely in all the excitement ;)

so... By request, by right, and mostly for good Karma...the preview for the Tribe KC series.............

The Tribe heads to KC to play the first place Royals, trailing them by 5 1/2 games. The Tribe also is 4 games behind the second place Tigers.

The bottom part of the rotation leads the charge into this tough, huge series...

Danny Salazar(4-6, 4.52) opens the series against the Royals' Vargas(10-6, 3.17)

Trevor Bauer (5-7, 4.18) goes against Royals Ace, James Shields(12-7, 3.45) in game #2.

T.J. House(2-3, 4.18) draws Duffy(8-11, 2.47) to close the series Sunday.

Tribe notes:
Lefty Josh Outman(Stubbs trade) who became the odd man out in the tough, Tribe bullpen and was demoted to AAA, was dealt to the Yankess for PTBNL or CASH! The player is not expected to be anything special....I'll take the cash, Monte :D

The Tribe dominated the Chisox last year, but are only 7-9 against the Pale Hose this year. Of the 16 games played, 11 games were decided by 1 run...the Tribe is a mere 3-8 in those games.

Tribe will be nice sized underdogs in all 3. The pitching will have to be great because I don't see the Tribe breaking out offensively with the lineups we are trotting out there.

We need Gomes back, badly, for some juice in the middle of the order.

Hanging on by a thread. Still think they are done but unless they take 2 of 3 in this series, you can stick a fork in them. They are playing good ball though. Too bad they have to wait this late to turn it on.

The Royals have had the Tribe's number the last few seasons. I don't have my hopes high. I say after these next 2 series, our season will be over.

Gomes back and hitting 6th. Gimenez moved to Paternity list (and will be brought up when rosters expand in a few days)

Awesome to have Gomes back, but a shout out to Perez who did an admiral job in his absence.

Rain chases Salazar. He might have been able to go deep but he is in line for a W if the pen does the job.

Another solid start for the Tribe staff.

Still back 4, 4, and 1 games behind people to jump. What a great game by the tribe.

I think it worked out for the best. The less times Salazar has to go through the batting order the better.

The only team that we are 4 games behind is the Tigers. I'm guessing you are talking about wildcard here since you listed 3 teams. We are 3 games behind Seattle.

Yes I noticed that after I posted. Only 3 behind Seattle after King Felix fell last night.

Man, just gotta love Tito. He comes to win every day, unlike some of the other guys we've had managed recently. Zack Crockett throws one pitch with a 4-0 lead and hits a guy. He gone. I love it. But then again, this lineup is frickin loaded. Jose Ramirez, Zach Walters, Tyler Holt, Dickerson. Reminds me a lot of Maris, Mantle, Berra, Pepitone and Moose Skowron. Right BRF? Hits? All I know is that the calendar is about to flip to September...and the games are real meaningful. The season could be over in 7 days, but then again, the flicker of hope and the visions of sugar plums keep a dancing in my head.My only criticism of management was not pulling the plug on Masterson, Cabrera and even Swisher a lot sooner. I realize that the emergence of Carrasco, Danny S. and Bauer are exclusive to the removal of dead weight but it's more than coincidental that the recent hot streak is coincides with their departure.

The thing I really love about this rotation is we have 4 guys that have number 1 stuff.

Tigers and Yanks losing late. Tigers playing 2 today. If the stars line up tonight, the tribe could cut WC deficit to just 2.5 games. Bauer is just another cog in the starting pitching wheel that needs to roll.

That was the worst first pitch I've ever seen....threw it 50 feet and drilled Perez in the cup.

Amazed they only gave up the 1 run. I call that a win after a lead-off BB followed by an E1.
