Did you not read the transcript? Wilson said he approached Brown and Johnson b/c they were walking down the middle of the street. Wilson says he asked the two to get out of the street and go to the sidewalk. Johnson claims Wilsons words were a little harsher and told them to get the fuck out of the street. The truth, as always, lies somewhere in the middle of the two stories I'm sure.
Did you see the street he was killed on/they were walking on? It was a street infront of housing projects ie: not a whole lot of traffic and people walk on them every day.

The issue here that is just as important and comes first is respect for authority. Are we teaching kids to respect police? Are we teaching kids to obey the law? Are we teaching kids to just stop when a policeman pulls them over? Are we teaching them to be polite and not aggressive when authority questions them? Have we heard this from any black leadership? ....from the the Reverends, the AG or the Prez himself? Have any of them said..."go home, calm down, and we will investigate this thoroughly and be sure justice is done?"
You know what my dad taught me and I'll teach my son? Respect is a 2 way street and earned and if someone doesn't respect you, they don't earn it back. You don't have a problem respecting police, just as I don't, because you're not black and you don't get harrassed by police. It's hard to respect someone who clearly doesnt give a shit about you. And no, just b/c they're police, doesn't mean they deserve respect. They deserve respect up until the point they dont return the courtesy. They're not special beings. Should you use restraint when dealing with them? Absolutely. Did MB? Apparently not.

And the huge volume of eveidence and testimony which included investigation by the feds, does not bear this out. There is no, nor should there be ...any "affirmative action" in law enforcement.
Officer Wilson should have been indicted b/c a person was killed without a weapon and it became a he said/she said event. All we know for sure is Wilson killed someone who didn't have a weapon, and the prosecutor took Wilsons word for it as suspected.
It should have went to trial where Wilson could have been cross-examined and his testimony would have been dissected, and witnesses would have to have been made public.
No one knows what happened and never will b/c it didn't go to trial. I don't know if Wilson is guilty or innocent and you sure as hell don't hold privy knowledge to know either.
