It's a little different. On the weekends I have time for multiple sessions per day.

Flying to Denver right now for our anniversary weekend. Going to the Manchester United game Saturday and a Rockies game tonight. Gonna hit up a bunch of breweries.

Taking it easy for the most part. I'm DJing a roof party in the day tomorrow. Sunday, I'm looking forward to just sleeping in, but of course.....I'll be up at 8.

My in-laws are in town. Heading to Ft Worth today/tonight then Lake Texoma tomorrow.

Moving out of my apartment and into a storage garage. Wedding Saturday. Then driving north to visit my family for the week.

Reffing tonight. Wife's family reunion tomorrow. Church Sunday. Football starts Monday. Plenty of drunj in between.

My friends restaurant is opening and he's still trying to get me to quit my job and become his bar manager. I agreed to guest bartender for him tonight and Sunday morning. On Saturday my wife and I are having a cookout for our housewarming party and are expecting 30-40 people so I will be doing a lot of grilling.

I am also going to drink a lot of Christmas Ale for Christmas in July.

BTW after last night I already know why he wants me to be bar manager. The place does good business. He has awesome bartenders. I mean these bartenders are fucking perfect every drink is perfect down to the last shake. You can tell they have all been behind the bar and pride themselves on it. If a drink calls for 57 shakes they shake it 57 fucking times not one more not one less. Appearance wise not a fucking hair out of place on the girls. I can tell they have probably been bartenders all over the short north. Now here's the fucking problem. They have zero personality. Their sole focus is that drink being the best version of that drink possible. Who the fuck cares if it's shaken 25 or 57 times. Stop counting the shakes and talk to your customers. Engage the guest BS with the guest. All of his bartenders are what I like to call service bartenders. They are the perfect bartender to put behind the counter who's sole purpose is to make the drinks servers are ringing in. They have no interaction with guests just make perfect drinks. He doesn't have anyone who can be a true bartender that can make drinks fast and carry conversations with customers and make guests feel like they care.

Im im going to have to tell him I would be firing a lot of people.

I think I am if the wife agrees. It will be about a 20k a year drop in salary but more fun and I won't be wanting to kill myself 3 months out of the year.
