Made a terrible executive decision and clearly doesn't get it, as I stated earlier reminds me of when BGSU got one and attempted to get rid of the hockey program a few years ago. Backlash by the community was so strong she almost lost her job and pretty much had an ineffective tenure because of this

When the President of a University and some of the Board of Directors (liberal wienies) make quick and irrational decision base on pressure from other heads up their ass staff, arrogant educated faculty and the bias media dicks this is what happens.
Ohio Band Director, Duke Coaches, Student/Athletes and their family lives, careers and future are in shambles. Whose head rolls next and whose career ends?
Until a System is devised to hold all accountable, responsible and subject to legal retribution, that clearly makes the wrong final “firing ruling”, “scholarship pulled” half ass, rush to point fingers, liberal chest beating will continue.

I love OSU too, and it's pretty obvious that Jon Waters does too. That's part of what really gauls me...that OSU would dick over another Buckeye without so much as a fair hearing or opportunity to defend himself. So many other ways they could have handled this....but chose not to...even when they had opportunties to defuse the situation, they doubled and tripled down on a report whose methodology was a joke.

To be frank, the more I've looked at this and the timeline, I think this was a BOT decision/action...and Drake was told to execute it.

I hope the University lawyers eviscerate this guy. Do Not give him anymore compensation than he's already received and most suredly do not let this Pillsbury Doughboy Band Geek back in the stadium on Alumni Band Days...THAT was just pure dumbassery on the U's behalf.

The independent investigation ordered by Michael Drake.... Charged to Former AG Betty Montgomery ...will be delayed another 4-6 weeks...according to a statement made by Montgomery yesterday. No comments or information were added. The investigation into the band's " culture" and Title IX recommendations were expected this week. According to reports, Montgomery's investigation has surveyed and interviewed over 140 current and former band members... And interviews are typically 90 minutes long.

I know of some alums who have contributed decent amounts to the school that are through. Whether there are enough of them to get the attention of the Board, I don't know.

^^^I don't know...they tripled down on the 25 cent C & I investigation report they used to scapegoat Waters where they interviewed all of about 10 cherry picked people, and then go spend $millions on Betty Montgomery's investigation that is interviewing hundreds.

Just an update on the Jon Waters firing and lawsuit...

Waters has formally reapplied for the job....giving the administration yet another opportunity to avoid the lawsuit and just make everything alright. The Dept. of education has taken TOSU off their list for title IX violations. Betty Montgomery's investigation, though not charged with making recommendations on the Waters' firing, said essentially that the University could have done better and made mistakes.
