Tomlin vs Smyly tomorrow.

Awesome games today. Some clutch hitting and excellent pitching. Why not take all 4?

Good call. Had Salazar on the mind from the 1st post in the thread.

^ Yeah, not sure what happened. I took those off of Indians.com and they had two of the matchups wrong.

I don't like the idea of trading Aviles or Cabby. I don't think either will fetch top notch prospects. Rather play it out with them and if Cabby walks, he walks. He has been steady, if not borderline solid at the dish this year. On pace for .260-.270 with 15 homers and 75 RBI. Not bad out of the 2 hole. I say stick with him for the rest of the year as opposed to bringing up an unknown (albeit very promising) talent at this point.

As for the game today, hopefully Tomlin is sharper than his last outing vs Detroit. That was a Sunday game in Cleveland where the Tigers opened up a 10-1 lead before the Tribe scored a couple late.

Another disappointing outing for Tomlin vs the Tigers.

4 and a third with 4 runs plus the two on the bases.

Tigers looking like they will avoid the sweep. 4-0 and the Tribe have 1 hit through 5 innings.

Yeah why would we want to keep Asdrubal? Terrible defensively and way to streaky on offense. I'll take my chances with lindor, who has always been a low strikeout guy with a good approach.

Tough one today but still a great 3 of 4 in Detroit.

Stay hot.

Great start to the 2nd half so far. Starting with 11 straight on the road, all vs division foes. Big stretch for the Tribe. Starting 3-1 vs the toughest team is awesome. Beat the Twins 2 of 3 and split 4 at KC and we are looking at a 7-4 trip. Very possible.

Cant let momentum slip vs Minny. Tonights game is big, as the Tribe has a hard time coming from behind in series but plays extremely well when they win the 1st game (not that its surprising...).

Giants want Cabrera and Aviles. Wonder what they're offering. Would leave a big hole without those two in the infield.

Can this be Lindor's break? Would like to see him play a few games after the nasal fracture before he's possibly called up on.
Giants signed Uggla to a MiLB contract, he can't be the answer.

Dont know if there are any good Tiger fans on here that would know this or not but....

ANyone know if that Devon Travis at AA is a big prospect for the Tigers? He is hitting close to .300 and this past weekend I saw him play two games up in Akron and he made highlight play after highlight play for them.

Doubtful. He is 23 and a 2B in AA. Ian Kinsler is signed through 2018.

Rated their #2 prospect behind Robbie ray.

Bats: R, Throws: R
Height: 5' 9", Weight: 195

Scouting Grades: Hit: 60 | Power: 40 | Run: 60 | Arm: 50 | Field: 55 | Overall: 50
A 13th-round pick in 2012, Travis was one of the biggest surprises in the Minor Leagues in 2013. He finished second in the Minor Leagues with a .351 batting average and third with 177 hits.
Travis has proven he simply knows how to put the bat on the ball. He has an advanced approach at the plate and uses his quick, compact swing to make hard contact. He showed some surprising power as a professional, but he's more of a gap hitter than a slugger. He's a heady player, allowing his average speed to play up on the basepaths.
