Not really. I've taken a few courses on the history of Africa and probably know more about the history of black people than black people know themselves. They have only themselves to blame for their own problems.

Is that the one where Africans were dying from AIDS or Malaria? Or was that the one where most Africans were too busy killing each other and selling the survivors into slavery?

gosh a ruddies you would think an expert on African History would know, no one in Africa was dying of aids in the 17th and 18th century. And that their bondage in America drove them from a stable subsistence farming life style in west Africa, shortening their life spans.

Slavery wasn't a good thing. That's of course ridiculous to suggest otherwise.

However, can we stop pretending that Africans didn't derive some positives from the tragedy?

First millions of blacks died on the horrifically brutal transport to the Western Hemisphere on the Slave ships of the Middle Passage. On arrival they were sold as property. They would suffer ten generation of enslavement. Their life spans were much shorter than whites. The infant mortality rate for slaves was 50%, twice that of white population. They were provided with inadequate clothing and housing. At 10 or younger they were sent to work in the fields 15-18 hour days, often 7 days a week. Escape, Insolence or supposed lazines was punished by floggings, mutilations and a wide variety of other barbaric punishment. Women were sexually assaulted with impunity. Families broke up for sale.

Gosh a ruddies, it was black people capturing their own people and selling their OWN PEOPLE for money. Why do blacks only look at their own kind as profit rather than as people like whites and other races?
