Reds go for the series win and to gain a game on Milw or StL.

Feeling the ball will be flying today....hopefully Leake can avoid the Ike Davis type players and also too many 4 hoppers finding the hole.
I'll take 6 inn and 3 ER today

Martin getting his two sacrifice flies early in the count - 2nd pitch in the first, and first pitch in the 3rd. Leake's BA against with RISP is zero, yet he trails 2-0!

The Pirates 4th run is the first to score on a hit, and it was pounded! Pounded into the ground so hard it bounced over the 2nd baseman!

Defense is always good it seems but seemingly rarely make those tough plays when Leake pitches.

Ump hurt Morton like he did Leake! Frazier should have been called out on the 2-2 pitch, then hit the 3 R HR on the 3-2 pitch.

Yes. They have been using Chapman every day though. I just hope he doesn't pitch in the All Star game. This is a huge 9th inning.

Makes you wonder about the decision to pitch Broxton. I mean, you know Chapman needs rest, but I'll be pissed if he throws a high stress inning in the AS game and can't pitch when his own team needs him.

Broxton lucky to get away with the 2-1 hanging slider, but the 2-2 high 95mph fastball got crushed by Cutch!

This reminds me a lot of the Thursday game against Chicago. The Reds have already used Ondrusek, LeCure, Parra, Diaz and Broxton. You gotta like Pittsburgh's chances if the game goes past the 9th or 10th, especially with Chapman unavailable. It's basically Contreras, Partch and Hoover left, and I pray to God we don't see the latter.

And, I didn't realize Partch was sent down and Soto up. So, it's Contreras and Hoover. Reds need to win and do it SOON.

Martin has learned how to cover home since the last series with the Pirates!
