First off we let our 17 year old daughter pick where we would be going for vacation this summer. Of course she had to pick Florida since she's never been there and never seen an ocean. Then after giving myself headaches looking up condos and hotels, the Mrs. decides she want this to be a "fly by the seat of my pants vacation".

So we're off to Florida on Saturday with no hotel reservations.

Kennedy space center is a great place to go... Lots to do on Orlando, but flying by the seat of your pants on 4 th of July weekend? .... Yeah you are nuts.

Thank god she didn't 't pick the Carolina's.

Just use a site like Priceline where you can name your own price and pick the star rating and city you want it in that night

My 18 year old planned out our vacation which involves 2 different MLB games in different cities and then onto the beach.

What do you mean "giving yourself headaches looking up condos and hotels"? Your daughter would probably enjoy Miami since it's by the ocean, or Orlando which is like an hour drive from it. There are probably at least 100 different hotels to choose from in those two spots.

You sound like the <$60 / night types anyway and there are hundreds of flea-bag cheapo motels in FL with vacancy during the summer months.

Could you imagine watching tv with CC? With every commercial he just yells out "douchebag" and then when a hot girl is shown on tv he lets everyone know that he'd "give it to her good".

Actually worked out well. Didn't have a bit of trouble and since we were somewhere we'd never been before we could eyeball places and see where we wanted to be.
