Thank god for replay or it would have been a no hitter. I think the last two hits they have had were either infield singles or seeing eye singles.

Kipnis does know he can swing with 2 strikes, right??
I have been saying this the past few games. before tonight he came up a few times in the 8th or 9th inning in clutch at bats and leaves the bat on his shoulder. he needs to remember what the strike zone looks like.

For the love of God the bats need to get going.
This is a recurring theme with this team this season...we'll be lucky to get to 70 wins.

It is usually the absolute worst, right before it gets better. Could have been no hit back to back nights if not for replay and if Cano makes a great play. Either way, no runs and 2 hits over the last two games. Fan morale is pretty low. This is usually when they rip off 5 or 6 straight wins. When they are running good, they run really really good. Almost seems like they can't lose. When they are running bad, they run really really bad. Almost seems like they can't win...or even score. I am calling for a mini win streak to start tonight solely on the fact that it makes no sense.

I'm drunkenly housesitting for a friend and just want to know...did Swisher just fuck up the most routine play in the game? Or am I hallucinating?

With the way he is hitting, and then that...Id bench him when he gets to the dugout. Inexcusable.

That fuck-up combined with Masterson being how he's been this season combined to give him a 37-pitch inning. Damn, someone in the pen better be ready to give 3-4 innings!

...and then Masterson walks the next two and has to pitch out of a bases loaded jam....an additional 16 pitches.

Wow, how frustrating to watch these guys now....they break out and score 3 in the top of the first and Masterson gives two back...and it could have been a LOT worse.

On pace for, what, 3 1/3, at this rate?

Well, nice of Swisher to get his 1 hit of the month out of the way in Game #1. Now we wont have to keep playing him all of July for it.

Masterson is so bad. Jesus. How do you not throw anything offspeed to Beckett after he hit a double on your fastball the 1st time up.

I initially thought Gomes missed the tag.

This is the craziest play I have ever seen lol

I still think Gordon was safe as Gomes missed the tag.

But, what a throw by Brantley. Got the 2nd fastest (Hamilton) player in the MLB by a good 5 feet.

I'd love to see a video posted whenever anyone can get it, even if it's the morning. I don't typically have time to watch ESPN before work.

Trevor Bauer takes the ball tonite and with it, the Tribe's hopes for a .500 road trip.

Indians win today 5-4. That puts them at 4-4 on the west coast trip.

It's the 3rd and final trip to the west coast this season.

Great series win over a team I expect to win the World Series. Helps to avoid Kershaw and Greinke, but we never missed Verlander or Johan in their prime, so we deserve some luck lol

Bad game. He is taking way too many strikes, especially 3rd strikes. But he was good last night.
