Hope so. Padres blow. Second worst team in majors in run differential.

Well I sure hope they don't win 2-1, 3-2 and then lose 8-0

Because that would suck for us and still keep their run differential sucking

I should've quoted their record then. Yep, 3rd worst in the majors.

Glad you could keep on winning without my 7-1 record. I92 you may be the only one, other than myself, who can consistantly win.

2 of 3 from the Padres is good enough, hell even 1-2 all things considered from this trip will be passable and getting ready for this weekend. Good to have that off day so they wont have to rest anyone in SD.

Little disconcerting that with this run they havent made up ground on the Brewers but there is still a lot of time left and not out of it by any means.

True, that in itself isnt acceptable but going in and what would be considered a good and successful trip and where they are at now makes 1-2 a good trip. Goals/expectations change.

I think Latos pitches lights out tonight, or absolutely bombs early on from trying too hard against his former team.

No. 1-2 against the Dads is not acceptable in any way, shape, or form.

I don't care if they haven't lost a game in 2 months. They are 12 games under .500.

But you have to move forward in thinking. They have to go into every game thinking win and every series thinking win.

IF they lost two of three and seemed down maybe Price could satisfy the media and fans by saying it was a successful road trip but the players and manager has to want more.

I know they can get swept in this series and still have ample time to overcome....but winning series most of the rest of the way is a must. Sure there is time to lose several series the rest of the way and still get where we want.....but I'd rather make a SD series a win rather than having to beat a much better team in Sept.....leeway is nice, but right now there isn't any.

and I agree with you.

I just look at worst case acceptable situations.

Too bad I gave up on them a few weeks ago.........

reds getting hosed at the plate in this third inning. SHould be bases loaded no outs, instead runner on 2nd 2 outs. Both strike 3s to votto and hamilton were waaaaaay off the plate

I don't think the pitch display was accurate for votto, that last pitch looked worse than the one to hamilton.
