I'd say that's 'Busch' to do that.

The reality is when the guy offered the other guy a beer you should have stated "Hey can you grab one for me while you're at it?".

Problem solved.

I offer a beer after asking why the fuck you'd only bring one in the first place.

Maybe they just don't like socially awkward loners and figured if they offered you a beer, you'd just sit there feeling sorry for yourself and be a "Debbie Downer" even longer.

Do you even party, bro?

I invted a friend of mine that was new the area to watch the Superbowl with me a few friends at a friends apartment. We each brought the same 12 pack and didn't open the second one. When we left I noticed that he took the second 12 pk claiming it was his and we didn't open it. He drank plenty of the other 12 pack. I got major 2nd hand embassement for him and never invited him over another friends place since. Still pisses me off thinking about it now, over 2 yrs later.

That's cheap as hell. Every time I bring beer over a friends, it stays there regardless if I finish it or not. The only exception is when the host asks me to take it home with me, which is usually the case when I bring over Bud Light or some shit.

This is why (normally, with family or good friends), I just bring my own cooler. I'll drink only from my own. If they offer me a beer, then I offer them one out of my cooler for the next "round."

For this occasion, I honestly didn't think it was necessary on my part to bring a cooler (fail on my part), so I just took the roadie.

Same here.
Buddy even had a separate fridge in his garage that he kept everyone's beer from previous weeks during the NFL season. Was always nice to have a little reserve built up.

Why don't you just take a sharpie and write your name on the beers to make sure everyone knows it's yours and not to drink it.

I don't drink beer very often at all....but have it readily available in the garage fridge along with numerous other beverages for when others are over. If you are at my place you get invited a beverage from the fridge whether I know you or not....just common courtesy I always assumed.

If you’re going to someone house, don’t know anyone or what to expect.
You have to make the call before leaving the house…1. do I take my own beer (alcohol) or do I except the idea that they 2. don’t drink or 3. they will have some there.

Taking your own is my call… but I take enough to share with everyone (12 pk) (note: get the good stuff, you don’t what to present yourself as cheap)…
That way you’re being the good guy, showing class and being hospitable to new friendship….. you just leveled the playing field … mofo
If they don’t drink, OK you have some for you or someone else and can take it home with you…
If they have some there no big deal you have already demonstrated your willingness to share so just add it to the cooler and enjoy…. you don’t have to ask, they don’t have to offer ..

Etiquette is that whatever is in your house, guests are welcome to it unless there is something special about it, like that it is an old bottle of whisky from one's grandfather. That is a different scenario. But yeah, the host should offer you a beer.

I find that many individuals in today’s society are socially awkward in matters of hospitality.
Many are clueless of what is expected and what defines as being a host.
