No one said racism and discrimination were antonyms. So they can be the same in certain instances. I'm other instances they aren't. No chance Mayweather buys the clippers. They are going to go for around $1.5B and he doesn't have that sort of scratch. Most people don't, but he isn't exactly a popular figurehead other business men/woman would get behind either.

Also, isn't he a convicted felon? There are way too many other people out there with more money, more experience, better reputations, etc. that the other owners would want as business partners.
