Olive Garden. 4/10. As bad as it was 15 years ago. No clue how they are in business.

Belly visited Chicago our first stop was ..."The best burger in the world" per my daughter... Well it's in my top 5 list now
Au Cheval a wait time of one hour not bad... To experience the dinning hamburger i order a single ( no bacon, no egg, 2 patties, American cheese, pickles and the what makes the burger the special malo type sauce )..
the orginal comes with bacon ( huge thick slice of bacon), four 4oz patties and a one egg over easy... We order one just so we Wife, me, daughter and her friend could try it..... Very good but the single was better...
if in Chicago I would very much suggest a visit to Au Cheval...9/10. The fries was very standard

we where looking for a quick but good place to have a liter type lunch meal.. Big and Little... I will not go back the worlds worst not worth stopping for lunch or ever again...... Bad.... No way to rate worst

I went here the other day and it was fantastic. Had to get in line around 3:30, and it was well worth it.

What is supposed to make it such a great burger? Just curious!
Personally a local place I touted on here a number of times make the best burgers I ever had. HUGE, made to order (med rare for me) and what makes it taste so good...is the wood fired grille. I just cannot find a better one any place else!

The original burger at this place has four patties 4 ounces each I ordered a single burger which only had two patties each patty is separated with American cheese are cooked to a medium rare still holds a lot of juice in it and the bun is a nice it is lightly toasted the other thing of it is is the pickles are not the real bitter hamburger pickles they're actually a very nice kind of a homemade pickle but what makes it really good is it it comes with this Dijon type sauce that has lots of flavor it's not real Mayo tasting but it's just nice and then on top of that comes an over easy egg which I did not get but all in all it's a very good Burger very tasty very moist and the sauce is what makes it really good different and good this was done by Voice Command on my Droid so if there's any misspelling blame the phone

So they use the quarter lb burgers. Never really been to a place that make those smaller burgers that great even if they attempt to make them med rare. Just don't seem to work out as well as the thicker ones

Au Cheval is just a great no frills burger. It's basically like a standard diner burger, but made by a really good chef. The seasoning is great, the meat is juicy, and the bacon is superb. The flavor from the pickles and cheese, and seasoning on the burger really kick it up a notch.

The last "new" restaurant I went to was Smack Shack in West Loop Chicago. It was...meh. I mean, don't get me wrong, it was good. But I think I prefer New Orleans style (Cajun) seafood over Coastal Seafood. My wife had lobster mac and cheese, and I had a shrimp po' boy. The ambiance was really cool, there's a giant vat of boiling water that they use to cook all the seafood right behind the main bar. It's a popular spot in Minneapolis, and the Chicago location opened earlier this year.

Prior to that, MAD Social for my birthday in July. There's this movement towards shared plates in Chicago. This place thrives on it. The drinks are pretty dang tasty, though pricey. I don't even remember what I had, because we had like four plates between us, but it was good. Would definitely recommend as an option for a night out with your significant other or friends. Even if it's just for drinks.

After attempting to not eat out much, I'm back in the game!

I'd guess I've had around 90% of the notable BBQ places in NYC, but this IMO this place is best and most consistent.

Cafeteria style and rather pricey, but so damn good.

Fette Sau, Williamsburg, Brooklyn

10/10 every time. Pulled pork and brisket are my go tos.

I wanted to fucking go here when I was last in Brooklyn and I got shot down by the group. Fuck them.

Have you been to pig beach? We went there to day drink after brunch, so I didn't eat. The BBQ looked good though.

Fette Sau gets pretty slammed during the weekend, line out the door. Best to go on a weeknight.

Pig Beach is next on my list. It's somewhat new, right? I've heard it's awesome. It's just a hike, way out in Gowanus. Looks like a cool spot to go on a nice day.

I love BBQ although I've never had proper "southern bbq" before. I have dreams of going on a BBQ/bourbon themed vacation one day. Hit Kentucky then a few cities known for BBQ.

Jim Dandy's BarBque in Sharonville. Really liked it. Had the briskett. Some good sauces....liked all the wood sitting around..gave the whole thing some character. Gave a discount for paying in cash.
Anyone been to this one and Eli's Barbque and care to compare? Wanted to try Eli's but didnt want to head downtown with the game.
