If so...that is such a misleading statement it's a joke. He said they're much better just on their chemistry and that the Cavs need time to play together and gel. If he said something else then I apologize, but I love the way people make it out that he is sandbagging and putting his team down...when it was ESPN who spun it that way.
No spin at all. The words came right our of LeBron's mouth. He said the Bulls are much better than the Cavs. And he's an idiot for saying it. The Bulls do not have near the talent that the Cavs have. For LBJ to suggest otherwise is a joke.

AC used to be entertaining...now he's nothing but a whiny little bitch. Sometimes the other team will move the ball around and hit a 3. It happens, AC...has nothing to do with bad defense.

I'd guess a big reasoning for anything to that effect that he said would have to do with how this year's Cavs are a very talented team where the main 3 guys all are in their first year of being teammates (you do remember how, in his first Heat year, they didn't win a title despite having more on-paper talent than Dallas, don't you?) and the only guys who've experienced postseason success are him and his guys who followed him to Cleveland. I'm sure he wants to make sure Kyrie and Love don't get a complacent "we have the talent; it's all good!" attitude and wants to make sure everyone is constantly working to get better and win a title.

I'd also guess that only a complete idiot would blow anything along those lines said during the preseason up like you are.

LeBron is smart for saying that, though he didn't mean it like foot thinks.

The Heat thought they had the world wrapped up before they even practiced together, and they won 2/4. LeBron knows that he needs the guys to fight for everything, and not think they have the best team already. Even if they cruise into the playoffs, they will be better off thinking the Bulls have more experience and playoff games together. Keep them working hard throughout.

I get a little tired with this crap of overpraising the competition. LBJ needs to STFU and just play ball. Vegas knows how full of shit he is.

I didn't. He's one of those belligerent old men who'll first rant about damn youngsters (I think he once used "23-year-old know-it-alls" during one rant) mouthing off to him and then, after a long-ass time, might finally sort of grudgingly accept that he was wrong, while insulting whoever was right in the process just to show he's still a total badass and all.

Unintentional comedy is the best kind, though, so it's cool!

You'd think that Heretic's point was bullshit...as it was bullshit...you'd think. LeBron 's ass kissing of the Chicago Bulls was nauseating the way he put it. Calling the Bulls "much better" than us.

If he wants to talk about chemistry, that's fine. But just stop it with the "their much better" nonsense. People can see right through that crap.

For people who want to talk about something other than random insignificant quotes that have Foot's panties all bunched up because he's a message board version of the biggest talk radio idiots, on Grantland, Simmons and Lowe named Cleveland their #1 NBA League Pass team (based on a formula that seems to run on talent/title chances, intentional entertainment and unintentional entertainment.

You do realize that Lebron said on the TV that he thought that he said that Lebron said that the Bulls basketball team was better. Lebron said that and Lebron shouldn't not have not said that.

The Bulls could be a very good team. I'm hoping it makes for a great ECF.

If rose stays healthy and doesn't become a ball hog, the bulls could be really good. Think watching taj Gibsons situation coming off the bench is one to keep an eye on. They need Doug McDermott to be good and get great contribution from Snell and Brooks as well off the bench.

Does anyone other than buttwedge disagree with what LBJ said? I sure don't. In fact I think most of us here thought the Bulls would end up with a better regular season record.

The right way of putting it...

" With Rose coming back I can see the Bulls being the team to beat in the East. They know each other and probably won't have the chemistry growing pains that we might have."

See how that works Heresy? As opposed to "the Bulls are way better than us."...because the Bulls are not "way better than us". In fact the books all agree that the Cavs are 3 times more likely than the Bulls of winning the East. (Plus 101 vs. plus 320)
