He wont have enough man power to stop all the parody accounts that will no doubt be created now.

lulz, They piched his roomate for some weed and this
Meanwhile, a host of copycat parody accounts have cropped up, possibly as an act of protest, possibly just to fuck with the Peoria power structure further. I’m not sure who’s behind them or if they’re coordinated, but it’s clear that if Ardis sent the cops to Daniel’s home to clamp down on people making fun of him online, that effort failed spectacularly.

Yeah, this was a really stupid decision. He probably just increased following of the various accounts 100-fold.

I wonder if that gets tossed due to illegal search (assuming 1st Amendment rights were violated). Would be an interesting case - I'm not sure a twitter handle like that actually rises to the level of impersonating a public official.

One person is imitating a public official - the mayor. If I was a resident of Peoria, I'd be taking a look at the city/state's recall processes and making a few phone calls.

Yeah, it was pretty obvious that it was a parody account. I don't see many mayors tweeting things like "I am trill as fuck."

And Twitter shutters such dubious accounts all the time, so the home invasion was completely unnecessary. I think the DA would dimiss all the charges for a $10 fine for possession.

Real Peoria Mayor @JimArdisMayor · 14h Being mayor is tough. Got too loaded to buy eggs so kids had to have an Easter Prescription Painkiller Bottle Hunt instead. <s>#</s>FreeSleezyD
