I saw recently the story of Philippe Petit, the guy who in 1974 broke into the World Trade Centers, strung a rope across and tight rope walked between the 2. All that exists is pictures of the incident and no video, but look at this one where he laid down to take a nap on the rope mid way. He stayed up there walking around for like an hour.

My knees get weak just looking at these kind of heights. Can't imagine the brass set it takes to walk around like that with no fear.

I've seen a similar video. Watched the whole thing, but with a rather elevated heart rate.

Only a matter of time until one of those idiots dies (someone must have by now)...they'll slip or overestimate the ability of something to hold their weight.

Made it all the way through. Heights bother me in certain situations. If I'm inside skyscraper I can go to the window and look down but if I am outside or on an observation deck with just a railing holding you back I can't make it to the railing. I have to stand back .

a lot of it isn't ballsy it's just stupid....even the high-walking isn't special it's just someone who doesn't get vertigo....by that I mean most people can easily do that 1ft off the ground (and the hanging is - dare I say? - easier)

Walking a tightrope isn't that easy. They had one set up at bonnaroo last year only about 6 inches off the ground and I don't think I saw anyone even make it 10 feet.

tightrope is different...I meant to refer to the ones walking along some of the wider pipes and ledges

Yeah, still have to admit free climbing is more impressive (oops, thought you were referring to the guy hanging with one hand)

LOL, I did one of those rock climbing walls once - at about 30 feet up I really just wanted down and the harness didn't really provide a whole lot of comfort.
