Watching Wisconsin and Miami last night, it was obvious Miami was affected by the cold weather and it got me thinking (I've actually thought this for years), but I think every 2 or 3 years, the NC should be played in the northern half of the country. It's not fair for the warm weather teams to A.) Get to play close to their home stadiums every year and B.)Not have to change their game plans because they are already used to the climate. Northern teams have to run the ball a ton more because of the cold weather, but then they get to the warm weather NC game and whoever they are playing, is a spread offense team and doesn't have to change a thing because they are used to the warm weather. I would love to see a UF or Texas come up North and play in Madison, Wisconsin this weekend in single digit temperatures. I am willing to bet old Colt or Tebow wouldn't be able to throw the ball like they do in warm weather. I just think it's crap all of the national championship games are played in the warm states! End of rant.

Playoff.

We already know what would happen if teams from the SEC had to play in the cold, they'd get BLOWN out in the 1st quarter, quit and go home to their gumbo and shrimp, all the while chanting SEC SEC SEC and getting overhyped by the media.

I stated on a thread about field conditions last night the weather and field hurt Miami more than Wisky. I got blasted for it.

Why would you get blasted? It was obvious. They had freakin heaters on their sidelines. Wisky was the tougher team. It was 50 degrees and Miami couldn't hang. Wisconsin was by far the better team.

Not sure. The other thread was more about the field condtitions and how Miami was falling all over the turf, and Wisc wasnt. To me it all fell into the Miami cant play in any conditions. No one agreed.

Only an Obama nut hugger would find shrimp and gumbo (clearly a reference to New Orleans) as being racist. Lol you are an idiot.

Gumbo is a Cajun dish. The Cajun people were Arcadians who were exiled. In other words, saying something about eating Gumbo and Shrimp is referring to Cajuns, aka white people.

Try again

See, the problem is, your opinion is actually a logical fallacy, that is, unless Sleeper hates white people

Dude...there is nothing there, that even resembles a hint of racism.

Have someone re-check your meds.

Who the hell in Florida wants to make the trip to Detroit to watch their team play the National Championship? This is like arguing that a man in a shanty with shitty controllers has an edge when playing a millionaire in xbox at his shack because he is used to the shitty controllers. Why the hell aren't they at the luxury house? Everyone wins in good weather

If it was in Detriot it would only be at Ford Field so weather wouldn't even be a factor.

They have a hard time filling stadiums located in nice weather states let alone Detroit in late Dec/Jan.

Some Super Bowls were played in northern cities. The response was so bad that the NFL is no longer considering it. I don't see it ever happening with the NCAA.

If Tebow can play good in a monsoon, why wouldnt he be able to play up north. Have you been keeping an eye on the weather down south? And also, Bama and Tex are both teams from the south. So why would you want to take them up north for a bowl game? Your idea wont happen, and shouldnt. They aint goin to have big time bowl games up north. Is Ohio, MI, WI, Penn good spots to vacation in the winter? No.

I'm old fashioned but I think that the game should rotate around to various league sites. Football is a Fall and Winter game. Talk about the wussification of America!!! I had a kid wonder why I didn't want him wearing under-armor when the temperature was in the 50's. His mother got mad at me.Thought we were being unreasonable. She probably wanted our League Meet to be held in Jamaica. I like the idea of a Championship being fought on the tundra of Lambeau field. We have already made it hard to play the College Championship in cold weather and I understand the idea of profit and sponsors and all the rest, but I've got to tell you that I still like the idea of football being played in football weather.

football is a FALL game NOT a winter game.

there is no reason to play football in sub freezing temperatures in snow, wind and ice.

If they went to a playoff id be all for having games being played in whatever weather the home field is. The championship game on the other hand should be played in the best possible conditions.
