Packers are signing Julius Peppers to a 3-year deal. Seems like too long for a guy as old as him, but haven't seen the details yet

EDIT: Max $30m, $7.5m guaranteed. The guaranteed seems reasonable.

Apparently Bridgewater had a bad pro day. They showed a number of his attempts and it looked pretty bad. Wonder if that will change anyones mind.

Pro days are so dumb, show me the game film. Game film tells me he was the best last year. The combine is overrated for a lot of these guys. Except for the guys that don't play on a big stage.

I agree. I think a Pro day can only hurt some guys. I mean, come on. There is no defense, no rush, you are EXPECTED to make those throws easily so when you do it is shrugged off.

This. Take your "measurables" and pro days and build a team. I'll get some football players and beat your ass.

unless you're the Browns, then you'll just fuck around and continue to be mediocre forever.

Not at all, i have been through way too much as a browns fan to let a hermit who knows nothing about football to affect me. Anyway, Id like to know what you would have done with the browns the last 3 years. Care to throw out something that we haven't said yet? You apparently have it figured out for that organization.

The "spring cleaning" they did recently needed to happen about 7 years ago, not now. I stand by my QB comment. I'm not sold on any of the QB's in this draft class. Bridgewater didn't play anybody in college, neither did Bortles or Derek Carr so you have absolutely no idea what you're getting. Johnny Manziel is the only one who played anyone and he ran a spread/pass-happy offense in college, so he isn't even going to be ready (and might not ever be). He's also going to be a huge TO liability because of his small size, poor decision making, and tendency to take off and run. Not to mention his obviously demonstrated lack of maturity that will likely lead to off-the-field issues.

Pick up Vick in FA, fall back on Hoyer if/when he gets hurt, and get some other weapons. You can draft at virtually any other position.

If they pick up one of those QB's, there's a really good chance they're going to throw him into the fire in his first season and they'll be right back where they've been the past 934819232 times they've drafted a QB in the first round.

Pretty much your comments on the QB has already been discussed numerous times amongst browns fans. Not to mention most of us who want a QB say he should be on the sideline for year 1. As for Vick.... Excuse me while I LMAO.

Continue acting like you have it all figured out over everyone else though. It's good for a laugh.

Is it really that laughable? You have a "capable" backup in Hoyer. Everyone has already shown that they're not interested in Vick so you can probably get him cheap. Why not ride him into the ground, pick up LBs/OL/WR's whatever in the draft, and then get a QB next year?

I admit I don't follow NFL as much as college football, but I follow both. I just have no vested interest in pro teams. Doesn't mean I don't watch it, I just have a bias-free view of teams, unlike most of the people in the Browns thread.

You make it seem like Browns fans come up with these outlandish predictions for out team. Maybe 2 posters per year predict a playoff appearance (one of them being durkie who predicts it every year), but for the most part we are pretty realistic about our team. You obviously don't pay much attention to the Browns thread, outside the occasional running jokes, that you have ran to the ground.

Also, yes it is laughable to think Vick is a legitimate choice for a starter. Do you not remember how horrible he was the last "full" season he played? Rather save the cap space and ride out Hoyer while we groom a rookie behind him. Also, not everyone is pushing for a QB with the first pick. So, please try harder.

No. I plead my case and you immediately disregarded it. I'll guess I'll just fall back into my LOL BROWNS mentality.

Way to make the Browns fanbase look dense, LOLFAIL.
